I'm going to guess Texas. I've read reports of stuff like this coming out of Texas in the last few weeks, still, its pretty f---ed up.scifidownbeat said:Jesus H. Christ. What happened to freedom? To democracy? What state do you live in, good sir?Yoshemo said:At my school, the senior class students were going to watch Obama's speech he made on Wensday. But a bunch of crazy parents complained, saying its propoganda and is brainwashing the children. So instead of dealing with them, they made a permission slip that is needed to be signed in order to watch it. These are 17-19 year old people that need to get mommy's permission to hear our leader talk. This is really pathetic to me. We never needed permission to listen to Bush's idiotic rants

You forget, this is the same nation that says that at age 18 you are a full adult, you get taxed, you can be drafted to fight in war, you can fuck and make babys.. but you are not allowed to drink alchohal until 21...Yoshemo said:At my school, the senior class students were going to watch Obama's speech he made on Wensday. Either way, who's crazy enough to think that it was propaganda? It was Obama telling kids to stay in school and wash their hands. Hell, if that's propaganda, Blues Clues is up there with Soviet Russia!
I wonder if Texas would protest as strong if it was their beloved GWB promoting the Iraq "battle" (He called it many things except war so that he could go over congress' head without reprecussions)Starke said:I'm going to guess Texas. Choice is for the terrorist bastards that try to help our insane, brainwashing, socialist leader! Any true American would not only refuse to watch any more of his addresses, but speak out! Someone like Joe Wilson, a true American, who gets persecuted wrongly for pointing out Obama's lies, should be elected president.Pilot Bush said:What's wrong with choice?Radeonx said:In a fool's world, yes! It used to be worse. During the Vietnam war the voting age was 21, so you could be drafted and killed before you could ever vote. Also some states can prosecute statutory rape if you're under 21, so, yeah... things have improved somewhat.WhiteTiger225 said:You forget, this is the same nation that says that at age 18 you are a full adult, you get taxed, you can be drafted to fight in war, you can fuck and make babys.. but you are not allowed to drink alchohal until 21...Yoshemo said:At my school, the senior class students were going to watch Obama's speech he made on Wensday. He also invoked the war powers act right off the bat, which (IIRC) he'd already condemned as unconstitutional in early 2001.WhiteTiger225 said:I wonder if Texas would protest as strong if it was their beloved GWB promoting the Iraq "battle" (He called it many things except war so that he could go over congress' head without reprecussions)Starke said:I'm going to guess Texas.
