I think it's safe to say...

That you should make your titles more descriptive.

Skyrim will be some people's GOTY. It will not be other people's GOTY. In the future, Bethesda will release a Skyrim GOTY Edition with all the DLC/expansions alongside it. Water is wet, and I look good in a suit.

Well, this post pretty much sums it up.

GOTY is official like my title of Emperor of the Universe.
Also, by critics reviews, MW3 is somewhere at the top too. I bet it has nothing to do with threatening everyone to give it a good score or die by assassins.

Scores have nothing to say on how good the game is. There just useless scores which fanboys can compare to other franchises that have been reviewed and complain about it, also it's just alot less hassle and alot more convenience to set-up a review open-mindedly without a score to accumulate. I haven't played Skyrim so I can't judge it's quality but when I do play it I'll be looking for pure quality and not let the game's length deceive me into thinking that it's a good game.

I know that every game reviewer (so far) have wet their pants over how good they think it is, but at the end of the day it has to be the actual gamers thought's that make a game GOTY, and most people who want Skyrim, haven?t got it yet.

I have no interest in Skyrim (that doesn't mean I won't pick it up during the new year game drought) So far my GOTY is inFamous2, but with AC: revelation's and Saint's Row the Third on the horizon my judgment could be shaken!

Skyrim will no doubt be great...at least it better be so I get my money's worth.

But I'm of the firm belief that a GOTY honor should never go to a product filled with bugs. It's just bad to promote this as a good practice regardless of the overall product presented to us. I'd much rather GOTY go to a game with more polish.

Of course, I've not played Skyrim yet...so my opinion may change in after sinking 50+ hours in to it. For now, I vote no on principle alone.

I asked my mommy to get me this game, I could/might have it as early as 10:30 tomorrow morning. Or 12:30, or not at all.

Skyrim GOTY huh... like to see that but I can almost guarantee Modern Warfare 3 will take the title.

It's the difference between being a huge blockbuster movie and actually winning an acadamy award for best screenplay. Sure, MW3 has brand recognition as a decent shooter with a large multiplayer fanbase and prints money like there is no tommorow, but it's nothing all that special. In a year of many good shooters, it might not even take home an award for best shooter.

Let me just say, I'd be really happy if it was GOTY, mostly because that would mean I'm about to have a LOT of fun 5 hours, 15 minutes and 51 seconds from now. I don't think this makes it a sealed deal by any means but regardless it will probably be the game I have the most fun with this year.
