Lets say you have a friend who committed a victimless crime such as: used an illegal drug, owned/carried a weapon illegaly(not including explosives/WMD's)or had sex with a prostitute. I wouldn't turn them in and hope you wouldn't either.

Well, it's really hard to say. There are some variables here.

1.) What drug is it? If it's something like marijuana then I don't care. If it's, say...meth or heroin of jenkem...then some rehab would probably be good for them. In that situation, the victim would be his or herself. So...if the drug is serious enough, turning them in might be the best thing for them.

2.) ...I'd hate to think that a friend of mine would just be carrying around a handgun or something. No reason for something like that. If I know them to be a particularly hot-tempered person, then maybe. This is a crime that has the potential to escalate and become a crime with an unfortunate victim.

3.) Nothing wrong with prostitutes...so, he or she can feel free to go crazy.

I can't really give a definite answer because I suppose I have an interested notion of what is a serious crime.

Depends on what it was (and my opinion on the legality of it), how much I liked them, and the capacity for violence/mayhem I thought they possessed.

The vast majority of victimless crimes I probably wouldn't report. The major requirement for that, to me, is how much harm their actions can inflict on people. ie. If someone was carrying around a sawn-off shotgun, I'd report it. Any sort of substance use I would completely ignore though, until they start doing something really stupid that would get more than just themselves hurt.
