a PC. I have all the consoles and a PC is the most expensive. However if in the hypothetical that the console we get is the ONLY console we can use, the 360, because I like the controller the best.

If all games were on all platforms, then:
360 - If those exclusive PS3 games with high GB memory, this would require a bunch load of disk swaps
PC - I can't install every game I like. It would require way too much memory, and I hate it when my frame rate dies on me
PS3 - It would still be my choice for a hassle-free, buy and play instantly. Online issues? I don't play multiplayer.

I voted before thinking it through. I said PS3 on principle (since I loved all of the consoles in the line thus far) but that is just fucking stupid. In reflection I would get either the PC or Mac and then just buy a PS3, seeing as my current computer is total garbage.
PC, duh! Anybody that says anything else (except possibly Mac) is just fooling themselves or honestly stupid. The PC can do anything. Anything! And when you say top-of-the-line, you just make it that much more obvious. A cutting edge PC would simply dominate any console in every measurement.
In all honesty, I wasn't expecting this poll to do so well! I'm a bit shocked that 360 beat PS3, but the online service is better. Still, you pay for quality you get quality, right?
And it's a PC for me easily. I started gaming on a computer. My earliest memory of gaming is of playing GP2 on a PC my dad built out of a couple of duds. It wasn't as stable as the rest, but it was faster than most computers at the time. I find the mouse/kb combo good for the gun games, and the D-pad good for racing/flight sims. And Generator, you can link up your PC to a TV screen. CSS on a 40" screen. Overkill. Fun. WIN!

360, I like the controller the most and I'm most used to it, and if you're not comfortable controlling the games it doesn't matter how good your system is.
PS3. Free online, the best graphics out of the three consoles, and I prefer the feel of a controller to a mouse and keyboard for everything other than Real-Time Strategy, so yeah.
