RPG, with a more complex dialogue system than Planescape Torment, but if you concentrate enough on speech and bluffing you'll do just fine, the save system sucks though.

1) They're just RPG's from another culture yes but they still follow most of the basic rules of an RPG.
2) It's a tad incriminating to say your life revolves around angst and hanging around underage girls/boys that look like girls
I see my life as an RPG. My 5 years of cooking gained me a lot of ranks in profession (cook). My years of studying and playing poker for a living gained me a lot of ranks in bluff and sense motive. My MMA training has increased by base attack bonus. Changes to my diet have helped out my con score. Working out has helped my strength score. My education has gained me ranks in knowledge (engineering) and knowledge (electronics). My ability scores in descending order are int, dex, wis, cha, con, str.
Also, they did a really good job on that redhead behind the counter at the convenience store.

Survival-horror.
I especially hate the "crowded" levels where my anxiety levels go sky high. But to be honest, the graphics are kind of nice, but the gameplay isn't very interesting. Like why give me a protagonist who'se one mechanic is that he uses glasses and another that he can't smell? Plus the constant HP drainage from chronic back-pain!? I mean, I know you're trying to cripple the player in a horror game, but this is getting ridiculous.

Basically, Minecraft on Hardcore mode, you die, you have to eat, theres a mod in there where you have to piss, shit and drink, you procreate with people of your choosing, and build or do whatever you want.

I feel like Heavy Rain simulated life pretty well--in all it's martial-arty, yet slow-paced tedium.
I'm going to have to go with Adventure.

Life is an FPS, for me anyways. Don't think of it as mass murder, but just getting a preemptive strike on the zombie apocalypse.
