Darth Bane said it best
"There should be only two; master and apprentice, one who embodies the power and one who craves it." Fucking badass.
I was more a fan of Exar Kun. That is why I have started building an Army of Sith Lords. I currently have Darth Empyrean, Darth Eternum, Darth Decimus, and Darth Corruptus on my side. I am STILL the TRUE Sith Lord, but having a bunch of followers to learn my path makes it better...

Especially since my first apprentice, Darth Galvanic, betrayed me.

Aye, Exar Kun was the shit. Having an army of Sith would be a terrifying thing indeed. But Bane (actually Revan initially) saw the nature of the Sith and if you had many, all vying for power and influence they would eventually all turn on one another and the knowledge and teachings of the Sith would become deluded. Nobody would want to share their knowledge with anyone because it would become one big penis measuring contest. But I see the appeal.

I have to be on the Dark Side. Yes I gave Darth Mobius the idea of raping Jedi women and possessing their son's bodies. I said it because I figured it would be the best way to keep the most powerful Sith Lord alive with no risk to himself. Even if his old body, the body that raped the Jedi woman is killed, the Dark Lord would still be able to possess the body of the unborn child.

And this is the part I didn't tell my Master. If he is forced to take control of his son's body before the child is born, it gives him a chance to actually culture the powers and find out if the body is strong enough for his tastes. If not, he can simply kill the mother AND the child, and take over any nearby Jedi male in order to keep his form from dissipating.

If the child is strong enough in the powers of the Sith, or the Force in general, he can allow the mother to give birth and work on perfecting his control of his mother until he has no need for her. Then, when he is ready, he can kill his "Mother" and disappear until he is ready to get his next victim.

We'll be over here

*backs away slowly*

(I'm dark too - though it's more "chaotic" than sheer gob-smacking evil. Chaotic Evil in the true sense of the style.)

Do what I have to to survive. If I'm out of your sight, I'm probably out of your mind.

Not that you're not already out of your mind.

I'd be a Grey Jedi.

1) Because all grey Jedi are, by default, freaking epic.

2) Because they have no restrictions placed into effect by either side.

3) Because at the end of the day, the Light side is actually worse than the Dark.

And Gitsnik, I always know where you are. I know what you did last summer!
That thing with the cocktail waitress? I never told anyone about that! Damn those memories! And damn those children. If you won't punish them, I WILL.

I think the concept of "light" and "dark" and "neutral" are wrong. If you use the computer security culture - white hats are purely good, black hats are purely bad - but sometimes a white hat does bad things for his own purpose. They call that grey, but a grey (hat / jedi) must be doing something good and something bad and it doesn't sit well with me.

If you pull some D&D into it (really showing my geek side now) and start with things like chaotic good, chaotic neutral, lawful evil etc. you start to get a better feel for things. Many people who choose grey or neutral, would probably fit better as a chaotic good - i.e. doing things that they want to but ultimately helping as many people as possible. Blowing up that building with no people inside to create havoc while you rescue the princess - chaotic good. Blowing up the princess while you slaughter the people in the building - chaotic evil (and just plain fun damnit).

There is that other issue I have with it - the world is not filled with black and white. Why couldn't Anakin go kick the shit out of people he didn't like and still be considered a jedi - he got the job done, he just bent the rules a little bit to do it. It's like that Dexter character, and/or capital punishment: bad dudes die, good dudes win. Where is the problem?!

To me, to all of us on the strong side of the force, the end justifies the means.

And the means are fun.

I'll be in my temple

I would be a lightsider.....though with the twist that I don't see the darkside as " a different aspect of the Force" ..not quite unified force, but still only note light and dark, as ones intent, and perceptions.

I say that with comfort in the stance to because; again, I am Soto Zen, and much of the philosophy of the Jedi is based directly off Buddhism. :)
so I sorta live by the philosophy already.....just...no control over/working with " the force " just...noticing it.

*chuckles* the all powerful Empyrean can be controlled by one such as I. Her actions chosen by a man after nothing but his own power.

Warning: incredibly nerdy Star Wars fanboy explanation incoming

The Force has no dark side or light side. If it is, as the films would have us believe, a natural force (although I don't buy into that whole midichlorians B.S.), then why would it be good or evil? The Force itself is neutral; people can be considered light or dark, but that's a reflection of the person, not the Force abilities they use.

Powers are not good or evil: it depends entirely on how you use them. A Jedi could use Lightning to kill a Sith, and that would be considered good; likewise, a Sith could use Heal on his apprentice, and that would probably be considered evil. To sum up: the Force is neutral. Your side depends on you, and how you use the Force.
I agree, but I think this thread is asking people how they would choose to wield the force - not the force that they would necessarily have.

Light Side. I'm a nice guy. I happen to be saddened by the lack of Force Lightning, which is a power that should belong to the Light Side, seeing as you can't spell lightning without light.
Well you can't spell slaughter without laughter either....
But what can't you spell without Dark?
Darkness? :p

Neutral I think.

Since all I'd use the force for is grabbing things that are out of reach and pulling them towards me.

Definitely neutral.

But on the lighter side of dark. Much anger there is in me and force lightning frying a few asses would be a delightful vent for that rage.

Sith.

While I'm not COMPLETELY evil. I would see all the opportunities that I could take with the force, and want to abuse it. Rules = lame.
