Yes. I'll probably get it when I get from boot camp, (assuming I make it to boot camp) why? well none of the DRM stuff really affects me. I have all of my Xbox games, never traded them in. I like playing my old games. and it gives my family more games to play as well. and I bought 90% of those games new. seriously the only used games I ever bought were final fantasy 13, Arkham asylum, and Ninja Gaiden 2. I never lend my games out because I don't trust people. so with the new system I just might start doing that if I don't have to actually give them my game. I use my 360 and XBL every day either playing games, playing music talking to people or watching videos. And as time goes on I do more and more with it. the services they keep adding are fun and I like them. and they never distract me from my games. far from it in fact, half the adds are mostly game related anyway and I've found some great stuff off the adds on the dashboard sales on dlc, dlc I didn't know was coming out, games being half off to download... Plus the customer service has been some of the best I've ever had with a company like Microsoft. when my first console that I got as gift in 2005 RROD'ed on me. both times. it was free to fix, and they sent me everything I needed to send it in for repair. plus when it came back a mere 3 weeks later both times they enclosed 3 months of free box live. seriously.
lack of backward compatibility sucks, I still play my old Xbox games on my 360. but it's not a deal breaker. and the cool new features like cloud share games or play on any console anywhere through the cloud sound cool, and I truly believe the drm in place was to curtail certain exploits on the system that are made available by the new features. like 20 people getting a copy of a game via sharing over the cloud, really all the problems associated with PC pirating come to mind as possible with out the DRM as bad as it sounds. plus if it's true that the game disk is only really needed to download the game and then can be run purely off the download, then just how do you sell it back anyway?
Edit: as to launch titles. well yeah most of the time the first few titles aren't that amazing, the first titles to use the new system is never going to be a good as the last titles. hell look at the differences between Cod games. Cod2 launched with the 360, same engine, look at how different each game is in terms of graphics, gameplay, and multiplayer.
so in short calm down and give it a some time. both consoles will probably be excellent, and who knows the backlash might force Microsoft's hand, or all this DRM actually works well, and isn't as annoying as it seems on the surface, or maybe both. give them both a year and see were we are.
