Well they could just restrain you and lock you up in prison. You'd probably get some of them while they tried it, but I imagine it could be done. So killing without the law bothering you would help there.
And if we're looking at IQ, which may not exactly be the best way to determine intelligence, if you have 100 then you'll be bumped to 150. So even if you're average you're now significantly smarter. And if you're not too strong to begin with then I think the police would be more easily able to just grapple you down if you tried to go on a killing spree.
Strenght without some amount of skill is pretty useless unless you're lifting boxes. In terms of muscle mass I'm less than impressive but I know how to fight, I'm reasonably fast and have decent stamina. Furthermore, if I had a ranged weapon the police wouldn't be able to get too close and, given that they can't shoot me down, I'm confident I could make an escape in a desperate situation. Not to mention all the nifty ways I could escape if I were indestructible, like jumping from an extreme hight or running through traffic without fear of being crippled. Sure, I'd be living on the run, but I'd be invincible.
I'm not all that intent on going on a murderous rampage anyway. I'm a tragic pacifist. I'm just saying that theoretically I COULD get away with it IF I were invincible. Also, just because the other option allows you to kill people legally, this doesn't mean there won't be repercussions from other avenues. I can't imagine people being thrilled that I killed their family member/ friend without so much as a slap on the wrist from the legal system. If I overdid it I can see people organising to have me killed, albeit unlawfully.
As for intelligence, it's thoroughly subjective. I'm guessing "smarter" means I would be 50% more adept at processing and retaining information. However, I'm not exactly a diligent student as it is. I procrastinate and lose interest quickly. I'd be better off simply figuring out how to utilise my brain's current processing capacity rather than adding to a potential that I will never tap into. I don't even know what it means to be wise. What one person considers wisdom is probably folly to another.
