Poll: If you could have one Superpower, what would it be? and Why?

If I could have any superpower I think I'd like the ability to reshape and alter my own flesh into various shapes (I'm basing this heavily off the design of the creatures in the game Dead Space by the way). So I could rehape my mouth to form mandibles or even sprout huge snake like fangs and split open my mouth in the process. Then reshape my arms to function like a crocodile's legs and merge my legs togther to make a tail then my spine can extend and end the leg tail with a sharp stinger. I would use that form to leap from building to building.
Alternativley I could sprout tentacles out of my back made from my own flesh that shoot shuriken-like needles at people. For ranged attack purposes obviously.
I could swell up my stomach and release a horde of flesh eating crawling little bug things from my mouth that are mutated versions of my own bacteria.
I could make the methane gas from my stomach seperate off into miniture fleshy bombs that I can then release from my hands.
I could sprout tentacles from both my arms and extend them into sharp points.
I could learn to fly by taking the skin from my legs and arms and merging them together to create a wing membrane.
I could sprout sharp spikes made of bone out of the palms of my hands or even grow giant sharp spider claws out my back then grow a second set of smaller arms out of my stomach.
If people tried to blow me to bits, I could make every severed part of me an individual organism and fuse myself backtogether.
I know what my alias would be:
NOMAD.

P.S Finally the best thing I could do would be to extend my penis to about twelve inches then surprise my girlfriend on our anniversary. Christ I think THAT would make her day.

In general time travel and space exploration (with a ship) this two are the most demanded. As there is a lot of people witch would like to travel in time or in space.

If I had to think of a superpower i'd choose for the ability to instantly obtain the knowledge of any profession I want or need.

If I get robbed, I instantly become a martial arts expert. If I, or someone else gets injured, I instantly know everything a doctor should know to treat the wounds.

Heh, offcourse one of the first things i'd do is obtain the knowledge of a pickup artist with the snap of a finger and go clubbing.

I've thought about this in depth while incredibly bored.

I'd like to be able walk through walls, or more aptly, pass through matter. To prevent me falling through the floor i'd be able to float aswell, nothing too fast. i would also be able to go through people or they could go through things with me if they were touching me.
It'd be so cool, robbing banks, no problem, freeing hostages, no sweat, Combat? i could just grab the guys heart and take it out without even breaking the skin.

Telekenises: Sounds cool and all but it makes me feel exposed somehow, it would still be my 2nd choice though ^^

Flight (wings): Hell no, way to cold in the sky and besides... wings, not really my thing.

Immortality: well it is the best out of the five for me, i mean... I don't like dieing. the downside is that it will be problematic once you've done about everything there is to do.

Invisiblity: no, that's just lame in my opinion, impossible to use in crowded places and well... why would i want it?

Pyrokenises: What can i do with this? I never heared of healing flames before and well i'm no serial killer so what's the use? (well unless i would start smoking, then it would have a use)


It's a shame my own all time favorite ain't here. Illusions, I just love those. C'mon, you can do about anything without being cought. It gives you an edge at work etc. etc. And well... it's just awesome

pyrokinesis means to be able to make explosions and make things explode, has nothing to do with fire.

Well ok, sorry for the misunderstanding then.

I've never actually bothered to do this before, but I may as well now. Pyrokinesis would mean to move objects with fire (pyro = fire, kinesis = move) or to move fire. What you are thinking of is Telepyrosis (Tele = distance, Pyrosis = fire).

Also, I chose telekinesis. Why? Because theoretically, if I tried hard enough, I could gain Telepyrosis and Telecryosis as well, assuming that I can move individual electrons en-masse (temperature is caused by electrons entering higher energy states and emitting infra-red radiation. If I could stop them from moving, I could freeze objects. If I sped them up, I could ignite objects).

I could also gain flight by simply using telekinesis on myself.

If you were able to use telekinesis at a submolecular level it's the only power you would ever need. Slowing molecules to freeze things, speeding them up to set fire to stuff - the options are limitless.

Edit: You could also regenerate your own cells, hence achieving immortality. You could change the atomic structure of things, and create anything that you might desire.

No love for Immortality? Think about it-no consequence for your actions. You can be hurt, but never killed. It's like being in Highlander without having to worry about your head getting cut off. It's not that you're invincible, but you'd never die.

Flight would also be fun.

So what? Abuse your immortality to get out. Guards can shoot you, but you'll never die.

edit: Oh, actually, what I would really like would be the ability to make time stop, rewind and go forward.

The time powers are great and all but thinking about them makes my head feel like imploding I mean first of all paradoxes with going back in time make changing the past very confusing if you went 5 minutes into the future for five minutes the matter that makes up you would cease to exist and matter can neither be created or destroyed or heres a question if a bullet is shot at you moving at 200 mph and you pause time could you move it because it would have a forward force of 200 mph so would you need to apply 200 mph of forceto move it in a opposite direction if you walked into it would it go through you like it would if time wasnt frozen

Maybe I could just take a step to the left?
