Hah, I thought as much :p I want to know why they do stupid things for girls and can be so cruel and emotionless, or maybe they just don't want to show their emotions as much as women.
Also I've worn the same jeans for a week, zero fucks given. You have to be incredibly good looking to be able to "get through life" without actually doing anything. If you don't meet the stupidly high standards of a lot of people, you have no chance living off your looks.
I can't speak for all men, but in my experience men don't understand how women are emotionally effected by things to such a massive degree (from our perspective). For example: Imagine an argument over something fairly small has just occurred. Within a few minutes of the end of the argument I am mostly back to normal and can continue talking in my usual way. A woman seems to keep talking derisively for hours and keep bringing up the minor issue that caused the argument for weeks, sometimes years. I don't understand this at all.

Maybe if this pill effects my emotional state as well I would have a better understanding.
I forgot to add on my post, I know women who treat men like sex toys and play with their emotions too, but maybe because I only hear from fellow women but it does seem to happen to use a lot more.

I can't explain that, but I know I'm the same. I can hold a grudge for years. A girl who used to bully me is a tramp now and she was asking me for money when I got out of work. I looked her straight in the eye and said "fuck off, I'm not giving you a thing."
It can't be all women, but little things just play on my mind. I don't mean "you left your dirty pants out again!" but my boyfriend said something to me last week and it's still playing on my mind even though he said it during a bad mood and didn't mean it.
Hopefully they invent that empathy chip they had in Futurama. I know a few people who definitely need it.

I've decided to be your guide for why men do stupid shit most of the time.

Absolutely, should be interesting. I appreciate being a woman but I'd like things from a mans perspective and to see what they talk about away from women.
After reading your post, I asked my male friends what they talk about when I'm not around and they unanimously said, "The same things we talk about when you're around." So, either, men are incredibly dull all the time, or they think I'm a man. Considering I caught three of them in a very loud debate about Solid Snake, I'm going to with the former.

As for the OT, I don't think there's much point to it is there? For me, I mean. I am a woman, I feel like a woman (cisgendered, then, I guess) so if I took the pill I'd just feel like a woman, but I'd have a dick. I don't want a dick. If I did, I know where they sell them.
A load of guys are saying they talk about sex, which they don't do in front of me. Everything else they talk about, they treat me like one of the lads most of the time, we'll talk about games or hobbies although I do give them advice on women.
My boyfriend says him and his friends "don't really" talk about their sex lives but I'm certain they do, I usually do things for him that men only dream of so I know he won't be able to resist bragging, LOL. They all seem to know what we get up to as well :s
Surprisingly this is close to true men actually DON'T talk much about what there girls do for them in the bed as its kinda a taboo subject for a normal male convo. Most of those more personal convo's only happen late at night when everyone is super relaxed and even then people still feel awkward. Personally i don't have a problem with talking about it but for whatever reason lots of guys do.

also your boyfriend is a lucky lucky man... hahah

Do tell...

I suspect that might have something to do with the raging testosterone some of us have. I seem not to have been one of those (that I know of), but I still get a little crazy sometimes.

You can figure out for yourself what I mean by that. :p

And in my experience, we don't talk about much unless there is a goal behind it. Most men are not great with small talk, myself included.
I want to know why some men are so... cold. They just seem "Girl A likes me and I like girl A cos she has a vagina! I shall use this! But now here's girl B and she also has a vagina! I've upset girl A because she loves me but I don't care because I'm too busy getting sucked off by girl B! I certainly am not gonna regret losing girl A cos I'm a selfish bastard!!"
[sub]*curls up and sobs* I'm gonna need a few minutes...[/sub]

I've realised that with men actually, which is why I don't do small talk. I'll ask how they are, then just get into a proper conversation.
With women I don't know I'm really bad for small talk and reaching out to talk about anything, no matter how silly >.<
Woops some how screwed up this quote chain... anyway I put it mostly down to testosterone/being a dick/girl being forceful Pretty much if a girl is going for your dick and you aren't in a completely clear state of mind (drunk) OR really love your girlfriend its really hard to say no, like really hard. Just the fact that we a programmed to go "SEX. FUCK YEAH GIVE ME SOME OF THAT I WANT TO HAVE IT SO I CAN SPREAD MY GENES" makes it really hard for us. Also you have to realize men can fake relationships, like no joke they can fake the WHOLE THING they just want sex sometimes and usually those guys are the pricks are the type of people I am surrounded by at school...

I can pretty much sum it up for you for a average male from the age of 14 to 25 50% of "MUST HAVE GIRL GIRL GIRRRLLL I WANT TO PUT MY PENIS IN HER HOLE"

The other 50%
"I am hungry need food."
"I am tired"
"I really want to play video games/watch a TV series"
"I have just wanked and have a small window of complete clarity in which i can explore the vastness of the universe and realise why I do not need to be hunting after girls all the time"
Then its straight back to "GIRRRLL"

This is coming from a eightteen year old male who goes to an all boys school and i know perfectly well this is pretty much my whole year bar a few.

I don't know whats happening with the quotes on my browser but they are fucking up :p

Because men want girls. Like They will do ANYTHING to get a girl, but this also means if something better comes along. They have a hard time turning it down if they aren't 100% invested in there first one. You can satisfy EVERY sexual need of a man and he will pass you up for a girl who will do it once every fought nigh but is better looking and that's a sad truth of most of the people at my school are like that. I am a REAL minority when it comes to the 14 to 25 age bracket because I want someone i can relate to that i can rely on like i wouldn't date a girl who didn't share my interests but I'm guessing that's also partly because of my anxiety issues. :p

I would do it just because I think women are hot, therefore I would want to be that what I lust after. I'd want to change back eventually, but still...

I am female, so it means I will be male for a week.

Sure I would try out being a guy for a week, but I dont think I would wan tot live as a guy for the rest of my life.
Being a guy seems to be a lot of pressure. I enjoy being female and not have to "feed the family" and "be a man".

As a gay man out of the closet I get asked this all the time and honestly just hell no... why would I want to be a woman? though it is far FAR worse if someone says "well you are gay do you just see yourself as a woman in the body of man?" uhmm no... no not at all stop watching FOX and just think about what you are saying okay
I'm sorry people ask you those questions. Sometimes ignorance and bigotry go hand in hand.

Pro tip for those who aren't aware: Sexuality and gender are two different things. If you are gay, you are still cisgendered. You still see yourself as a guy, not a girl. You just are sexually attracted to guys.

It is possible though to be homosexual and transgender. For example, if you were MtF transgender and were attracted to other women.
Wow you and to be honest most of this site can actually grasp this concept which is odd for a group that is not LBGT focused.

Here's a question: Imagine you were in an argument. You brought up something from some time ago and your argument partner responded "that is useless, irrelevant and obnoxious. It happened years ago and has no bearing on this issue". How would that make you feel and how would you react?

This a purely hypothetical scenario based on how I might respond.

As a guy, hell to the fuckin' no. I like just putting jeans and a shirt on and calling it an outfit when I wake up every day.
I'm a girl and that's how i dress every day, it's not just a guy thing

OP: Ehhh, probably not, I mean it sounds like a nice idea, but the practical part is what makes it iffy, I mean one week wouldn't be enough to determine whether you actually want to change genders or not, that kind of thing could take years to figure out, and if you're already comfortable with your gender identity, why throw yourself into confusion, I also think the novelty of being in the others genders body while bearing the knowledge you can change back would wear off very quickly.

You obviously haven't been around this site for very long, have you? This place is one of the weirder ones on the internet. Hell, one of the founders was a transgendered woman, so that might contribute a bit to the odd atmosphere, but yeah. I'm honestly more surprised to run into bigots and the like here, though there are some around here. A minority though. Truth be told this is one of the more progressive places on the internet, and the moment it stops being that is the moment I'm gone.

Probably would take it and explore all the known perks of being a girl.
But I'd make sure to note how my own behavior has been changed and what aspects of being a dude I would miss.
I don't know if a week is enough time, but if I notice my average behavior and attitude towards things start changing (not including sexual orientation. I don't seem to care about that much.) I'd probably change back in fear of just not being me anymore. The physical and social aspects of being a girl is what I want really.

Really I think I'd like being a girl, but given all my years being a dude and I'm sure everyone I know would kinda freak out. I don't think I'd make a smooth transition at all. Although that would probably only last maybe a year max if permanent. Just a very awkward year.

Voted yes and stay in the poll because I hate being male, but after thinking about it, I'm not sure I'd stay as one. Reason being that I'd be a whore lol.
Also one possibility is that I'd probably be a whore too. I'm pretty sure I would be lol. As fun as that sounds, it is not healthy :p

Can't I be a dick girl in this scenario?
Seconded.
My curiosity has no bounds. In another life I was probably a cat. A dead cat. But perhaps a happy cat.

I would take it then see how I felt at the end of the week. I might change back or I might not. Either way I would have learned some things, along with gaining a whole new perspective on life, which is something I think a lot more people need.

I don't think anything important I would want to learn about being a woman, would not come about in a week's time, so the answer is no.

Well, I'd probably see how I went before committing to what I'm going to do afterwards, for a start. Silly poll is silly.

I would out of sheer curiosity. I wouldn't make it permanent since I'm quite comfortable as a man and I really don't want to have periods. Say what you want about penises being obvious weak spots, but at least they don't bleed on a monthly basis.

That... depends. Is it something serious and is it REALLY irrelevant to what we're arguing about? Am I saying "You're cheating on me because you burnt the toast a few years ago! You were clearly busy thinking about fucking other people!" (actually had that said to me once) Or is it more serious like "You used to flirt around and use dirty chat sites in the past when we first got together, you said you aren't any more but you always hide yourself when you're texting and the browsing history is always clear"?

If it's the former, I'd have to take a minute to reflect on what I'm saying and how silly I might sound, I'd probably walk away to collect myself and calm down. If I conclude I really am being obnoxious and it has nothing to do with what we're arguing about, I'd apologise.
If it's the latter, I'd feel hurt and offended. I'd think he doesn't care about my feelings and that a mistake he made in the past that really hurt me is something I can easily move on from.

If, for arguments sake, we don't know what subject I'm bringing up. If it happened years ago and it still bothers me, I'd feel like we need to address it and he's just palming me off and doesn't want to listen.
I'd listen to him though, if he told me I was being a broken record and I bring it up every month when I should be over it, I'd take that into account. When I once spent £50 on a dress, my ex went ballistic and would constantly bring it up in arguments, he'd mention it at least once a fortnight ("you can't say anything cos you bought that dress!" "You're stupid with money cos you spent money on that dress!" blah blah) when we used to argue about him buying games instead of paying the rent. I know how grating it can be.
