Surprisingly this is close to true men actually DON'T talk much about what there girls do for them in the bed as its kinda a taboo subject for a normal male convo. Most of those more personal convo's only happen late at night when everyone is super relaxed and even then people still feel awkward. Personally i don't have a problem with talking about it but for whatever reason lots of guys do.
That seems to be different for each social circle, because my friends and me talk about everything incl. whatever happens on various sexual encounters.

Woops some how screwed up this quote chain... anyway I put it mostly down to testosterone/being a dick/girl being forceful Pretty much if a girl is going for your dick and you aren't in a completely clear state of mind (drunk) OR really love your girlfriend its really hard to say no, like really hard. Just the fact that we a programmed to go "SEX. FUCK YEAH GIVE ME SOME OF THAT I WANT TO HAVE IT SO I CAN SPREAD MY GENES" makes it really hard for us. Also you have to realize men can fake relationships, like no joke they can fake the WHOLE THING they just want sex sometimes and usually those guys are the pricks are the type of people I am surrounded by at school...
Oh that sounds biased, from what you write and the "at school" comment i will chalk that up to you being young, like in your teens around 15-18? In that age it may seem that way, but that gets severly better when folks get out of their teens, on the other hand "better" might be the wrong word, want I mean to say is both genders are equally crazy when it comes to romantic/sexual stuff, in my expirience at least.

I want to know why some men are so... cold. They just seem "Girl A likes me and I like girl A cos she has a vagina! I shall use this! But now here's girl B and she also has a vagina! I've upset girl A because she loves me but I don't care because I'm too busy getting sucked off by girl B! I certainly am not gonna regret losing girl A cos I'm a selfish bastard!!"
[sub]*curls up and sobs* I'm gonna need a few minutes...[/sub]
Well like I posted above, from your perspective it may seem that way, but thats only because you only see one side of the medal. Men and Women are equally selfish, crazy, ruthless, whathaveyou when it comes to romantic/sexual encounters. Just in different ways.

In my experience men go first and foremost for physically attractiveness, superficial that seems shallow or cold like you say, but women go just for different equally shallow things first. For example confidence, signs of recourses, social status...

I probably wouldn't because as I've mentioned on another thread dealing with a similar gender swapping topic, it wouldn't really change who I am as an individual.

On top of that, as a guy, I'd be turning into a chick, which comes with a shopping cart of problems that chicks deal with and that doesn't seem like an appealing offer.

Yeah, I'd be a girl for a week and change back a week later, but I'd be scared. I don't think I can appreciate that stuff in just a week.

I'd have to get new clothes and eventually break the news to my friends. "Hey guys, I'm a girl for a week, so..."
Then my parents. I wouldn't do anything different, my lifestyle won't change, but since I go swimming all the time, huh. It'd be funny.

I'm asking this question because a friend of mine just came out as transgender, so it got me thinking about this topic.

Hypothetical scenario... there is a pill that you can take that will rewrite your DNA for one week and turn you into the opposite sex of whatever you are now. The transformation is total, meaning you would have all the correct external and internal organs of whatever sex you turned into.

The effects would last one week. At the end of one week, you would have the option of either taking another pill to change back to the sex you were before, or another pill that would make the change permanent.

If you had this opportunity, would you do it?

Honestly, if I had the choice, I would do it for a week. I have always wondered what being female would be like. And no, I'm not just talking sexually or romantically. I'm talking just, ya know, living day to day life as a woman.

However, I have never had the thoughts that my friend was having. I don't see myself as a woman. I have always considered myself cisgendered (that means I was born male and I consider myself male). So I would probably take the pill to change back after a week. I think it would be an interesting perspective to have for a week, and might lead to better understanding.

So... as the poll says. Would you do it?
Absolutely 100% yes. And I don't see why you wouldn't explore it sexually or romantically. That seems like a critical part of this exploration. If I was a lady for a week I want to totally know what it feels like for a girl. Likely I'd even try the D. Anything's possible.

As far as spending the rest of my life as one? That's an interesting question that involves more questions. Can I take this pill again? What if it turns out I really like being a woman? Additionally, what's the point of having a pill to make it permanent if I have to take a pill to change me back in the first place?

Since it's a pill and not some reality retcon (unless it's the Matrix) I would probably have significant problems concerning my relations with my family and friends and eventually the government, because I'd be a person with no legal identity. Unless this technology is freely available, then bleh.

Could I simply take neither pill and extend my "free trial"?

This is a really good question but it causes all sorts of logistical issues. Why would I only be a women for a week (I'm sure somehow this can be rephrased if you a female becoming a man)? It seems to me if you wanted the full picture on what it means to be one, one week isn't enough. Maybe a couple months? You know why I'm bringing this up.

Additionally, what consequences would you face if you decided to more liberally explore your sexuality? I consider myself a manly man among men but I don't see how that's any more superior or interesting to being a woman. Depending on how my week goes, I could be coerced to stay that way, so yes.

tl;dr, Yes, I would absolutely be female for a week, and yes, I would be open to continuing my new existence for longer, possibly for eternity. If this new biological devilry existed for real it would have significant social impact on the world.

Who says it has to be a pill at all? Drop a biological weapon on a Taliban-controlled region and suddenly every women-beating asshole in the place IS a woman. You can bet this will highly disrupt some violent organizations.

could be fun. thought, to be fair. if i got to choose my gender i would go for being male. mostly because being a women is hard. men get payed more, no childbirth, no PMS, no childbirth, no childbirth, no "once a month", no childbirth, fewer beauty standards,no childbirth, it's socially acceptable for you to hit someone [footnote] don't judge me, you were thinking it too[/footnote] no childbirth....... did i mention that i am glad i don't have to experience childbirth.
seriously girls, how do you do it. ask any man to do these things and he would just break down and cry in the fetal position. either you're really though or we're really wimpy

i still think it would be fun to be a girl for a few days. just to experience life on the other side

Oh I would totally explore it sexually and romantically. I might even have sex with a guy, who knows? Having a body with different hormones at work might cause me to be attracted to guys for that week.

I'm just saying that the sexual and romantic aspect wouldn't be the ONLY thing I would be interested in. Wearing female clothing would be a definite. Also, just the social aspect of being a girl would be interesting too.

In terms of other biological stuff... I mentioned earlier that I would be interested in having a period during that week. I know, it's weird, but my thought behind this social experiment was better understanding of the opposite gender. I'd want to know the stuff that women go through, including the not so pleasant stuff.

The only thing we (meaning guys who would become girls through this experiment) would not be able to experience is being pregnant. Unless of course we chose the permanent path.

I think the new perspective would be enlightening, and offer a greater respect for women. From a lot of us.

Just a week, though.

I think I would have to take advantage of such an unusual research opportunity.

However, I don't think it's possible to say if I'd make it permanent until after I have acquired the necessary experience to make that decision.

Hell yeah I'd do it. Granted, I would likely not change very much at all...going from androgynous male to tomboyish female neither of whom sexual...I more than likely would turn back to...probably...I never really thought seriously about wanting to change after all...

...

Why can't I get Quistis out of my brain when it comes to self-image?

No . Because i'm sure i would end up dead or with one or several STDs. I would be a complete slut if i was born a woman . Give me a week and i'd sleep with more ( different ) people than i have in 7 years . I would do every and anyone . Hell i'd probably get to sleep with more women than i have in the last 7 years . Because i would not only sleep with men but women too .

...yeah i'm a terrible person .
no, you're not? why the fuck its wrong to fuck around? make it safe. state your wished and stick to them. dont lie about feelings. have fun. voilà

i dont get why its a problem for a woman to fuck around, sex is a great thing and as long as you are human decent-e.g. honest and consequent(if there are feelings-deal with it if the other person don't want.- that happens, but if you lean to live with that kind of feelings, you might mature.) and have safer-sex, than there is no problem.

every time i read that-I paraphrase -women who fuck around=are sluts=are bad beings I get the chill and get angry. no, nobody who has much sex is a bad person. its a person which likes sex. nothing more.

as-genderswap:sure. fucking as a man could be nice (although i wont last long.^^ i dont think sex with me-if i were male-would be good. wouldn´t last long enough, maybe 5 -10seconds (yes i am fast. always been. is somewhat annoying)^^)
peeing while standing-nice too. and all the possibilities (or well, better chances..)and could be nice to tell some lads to stick their sexism up where there shines no light.

Yes, though I'd wait until August when my Summer courses are over. I would no appreciate having to explain to the class why I'm suffering from a sudden case of gender swapping.

Additionally I'd like to see the pill used extensively in experiments to explore the difference between biological and culturally established gender roles, along with sexuality.

I would do it for the sake of doing it. I really don't think that there would be too much of a difference for me, aside from the obvious effects of sexism in society. In all honesty, I think I would be mostly the same whether I was a man or a woman. Similar questions have come up when I've hung out with friends in the past and they've all agreed that I'm the only one out of us who would probably change the least if I was a woman instead of a man.

If anything, I'd still be a huge slut.

Id totally do it if I was reverted back to normal at the end of the week, it never hurts to see how the other side lives so to speak.
Id take the week of work though because no amount of anything would be able to explain away that lol.

I would give it a try, but I think I would end up changing back after a week. It all depends on my experience as a boy. I don't know how I would deal with something between my legs all the time, it seems very......different. I dunno, I think secretly girls think about having a penis every now and then, me and my two girl friends had a conversation about it. I don't know if that makes a weirdos or something but it was funny. Also out of most of the post that I seen, worry about there cloths. Pfft I would be one (hopefully) sexy man in a skirt.

As a male, the idea does interest me from an educational standpoint. I do want to experience a lot of stuff in my life, this would just be another experience.

I am a little worried though, because I do share a room with another man.

LOL! Actually the first thing I'd do is wank because I hear our orgasms are sooooooooo much better so I'd wanna test it. I thought I shouldn't be so vulgar though. >.>
On the bright side, as a guy you'd be able to orgasm rather easily and frequently. So maybe quantity might win it over quality :p

As for me, id go for it, assuming i don't keep my "guy" mind cos otherwise id be a really crappy woman im definitly willing to explore a bit before changing my gender back again.

Didn't we have a thread about this few months ago? Ohh well, can change my answer then.

Yeah, I would try it for like a week or two, see how I would look like as a female, look at life from a different perspective. Pretty sure my two sisters would laugh like crazy if they knew that this would happen.

In fact I could just stay as a female if I liked it, depends mostly on how people I knew would respond to it and if my friends would accept me that way.

Either way, it sounds like a interesting idea to try out.
