As a non-American, it's nice to see the insanity that the highest rated "NEWS" network pushes off on the thirsty masses who don't know the difference between opinion and fact. So nope. I wouldn't topple it at all. I'd miss the laughs too much.

You are allowed to express your opinion, not to lie. Destroy the blasted thing, make the world a better place.

No, but i chose other.
They should stay on, but have to be interrogated by a panel of smart, witty, sarcastic and genuienly just brilliant people.
EVERY DAY.
I want to see them squirm, and squirm they shall.
And one more thing...
they should be made to run a banner across the screen saying 'this is all slanderous lies, none of this is true...'
:D
EDIT: Ohh... it said CHANGE!
Silly me, must be the result of too much videogames, movies and general culture.

yes, Fox News can die. not everything is free speech, you can't go into a crowded movie theatre and yell "FIRE!", I consider Fox News' 'news' equivalent to that.

While "Freedom of Speech" shouldn't mean "everything goes," I don't see any way that Fox could be legally silences without heavy regulation and censorship - and that of course would affect everybody and everything. There's a lot about Fox News I do not like but I dislike censorship far more.

Now if I was suddenly handed full ownership of Fox News and told I couldn't change it but I could preserve it or liquidate it I'd choose the latter.

Yes. How is this even a serious question? Bias is one thing, but Fox Noise gets things wrong on a regular basis on purpose, also known as lying.

I will now provide proof to support my claim.

Click the link and be amazed, as those screen captures are real.
Nothing in your link suggests that what they did was on purpose. It looks like typos to me.

Not to say Fox News doesn't lie, just that your argument in support of your position is weak at best. I seriously doubt they labeled John McCain a Democrat on purpose.

No. They're entitled to their opinion, no matter how stupid or bigoted, same as anyone else in the world.
"I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
I feel the same way about anyone who says anything I don't agree with.

Although look where you asked this freakin' question, man. Primarily a gaming website. Filled with gamers. Whom FOX has vilified. I don't really think that it would be a surprise to find out that everyone else wants them gone.

In a blood heartbeat. News network my ass, most of it is heavily biased/deceptive (outright lying sometimes) right-wing opinion stuff.

A constitution defines the relation between a government and it's people. Since I am not a part of the US government this whole freedom of speech thing doesn't apply to me.

Also they cancelled Firefly, Dollhouse and Futurama, they deserve what's coming to them.

Freedom, your rights end where another begins.

You spread lies, ignorance and hate then you loose that right as you harm others, that is the basis on which I live my life. You can disagree, but you have to prove you're not spouting crap.

Fox spout crap, I'd have it removed.

(Off topic: I like the new SOLVE Captcha thing, far easier to read.

I'd have FOX erased from the airwaves forever...it's not 'news' in any sense of the word...just right wing propaganda.

This. Free speech is one thing, but calling it "news" is another.

This just in: Everyone at fox news is a paedophille!

see, its just not right! to me "news" is "fact".

e.g.

News: Japan hit by tsunami.

Not news: rice eaters wiped out by glorious act of god.

No. Why? Because I watch it half for lulz, half for serious shit. They get too much hate and the media is overly libralized and bias.

Even if they lie,
even if they suck,
even if they're horrible human beings,
even if they are working for the reapers,
even if they sacrifice newborn babies to Cthulhu every new moon,
even if they try to destroy you and everyone and everything you love,
even if they are the demon spawn of Satan,
even if they made you lose the game,
even if they play consoles,
even if they listen to Beiber,
even if they must feast on the flesh of virgin girls to maintain their immortality,
even if they are worthless as a source of news,
even if The Onion is more reliable,
even if they are all sons of bitches,
even if they are racist, sexist, bigoted homophobes,
even if they led the Covenant to Earth,
even if I disagree with them

they have the right to free speech. All idiots do. I signed up to fight and possibly die to maintain that right. I would not take that away from them.

Free speech is great and all, but I can't help but fear that somewhere out there, somebody believes them. And that is something I cannot allow. DOWN WITH FOX! Or alternatively, just put a disclaimer at the beginning saying "Everything these people say is complete bullsh*t and should not be taken seriously", and let's add some sitcom laughter whie we're at it.

If I could, I would. But I would wopple them in a manner of comepletely killing their credibility to republicans; a way that would make even Sarah Palin go "Dear GOD! Those guys are morons!" and stop watching them.

I wouldn't topple them. I'd give them a Reason You Suck Speech. I'm a pacifist and I really only prefer to fight if necessary,

I love how everyone gets off on hating Fox News...when they're just supporting the opposite of their perspective and opinion, therefore in an unbiased sense "earn" the said person's vehemence. Given the current administration, the fact that they "troll people" all day long, THEN THOSE VERY SAME PEOPLE FALL FOR IT AND COMPLAIN AND THEREFORE FUEL THE FIRE FOR FOX NEWS...I can't really say I blame them.

Even then, truth in certain matters are subjective depending on how the news viewer looks at everything. Do I watch them? No. But I find it absolutely hilarious that people hate them with a seething passion and in the end, never truly understand that they are just merely expressing the opposite viewpoint which "they" can't stand or seem to tolerate.

I personally would disband FOX news if I could because I feel that by having a bad track reccord for spreading misinformation and slander they betray the sense of trust that I should be able to have in a news outlet's reliability and integrity.

Free Speech is a nice ideal and all but it's flaws come out very quickly when you see how some people abuse it to scare others into following their world view.
