I'd probably like it in Norway or Sweden, based on the people I've met and general things I've heard.

But I can't learn another language ... I'm English, we don't do that.

Though that said if anyone is planning to move to Norway you need to have a job planned way in advance, the cost of living there is much higher than most, so you'll be be broke quick if you don't have at least a average Norwegian salary coming in.

I moved to the USA when I was 20 from the UK, was a great 8 years but i'm glad I came home again. Been back a while now and might need to spread my wings again sometime. . .
doing my visa at the moment to go to usa, how did you find it?
I met a lot of really nice people and there was always something to do. I still catch myself pining for shops that stay open till midnight for no particular reason. Honestly though, it's the same as life anywhere, you make it your own. PM me if you have any more question!

Yes! I live in america, and find it horrible, that the government tripled my healthcare just because.

Only 1k one way to go to melbourne australia!

But the consenses from government critics sean hannedy, bernie tompson, monica crowley, believe the insurance people will make like highway robberies for the next 3 to 5 years, and then start shutting down. So im fine waiting that period for the market to stabilize.
So much for rose tinted glasses, I had forgotten about the health care. I was out there before obamacare and couldn't afford health insurance as I was just over broke most of the time. I once got charged almost $1k when I was dehydrating badly due to a virus, ambulance ride and treatment.

Yeah, that sucked.

Funny you should mention that because I'm actually planning on moving states pretty soon.
I would like to move out of the old US of A at some point, I just disagree with the way this country is run and structured so much, and truly think Europe is where the actual progress is going to be happening in the foreseeable future, whereas I can only see America falling down further and further until China buys us.

I wouldn't mind living in Canada either, plus I've been there quite a few times and I actually don't mind the weather too much.

I would absolutely move. To Iceland. My town isn't very nice. And the way it's going, the UK is going to be run either by people who seem to be actively trying to kill off the working classes or by racists. Iceland of course has it's shortfallings obviously, but for me, the pros certainly outweigh the cons. It is a stunningly beautiful country, a literary goldmine, has better weather (for me, I much prefer the cold to the mild/changeable/odd-current-heatwave weather in the UK) from the research I have done it seems like a brilliant place to be an avid internet user. It's sparsely populated (I am not a fan of people) and I like fish. My only question (if there is anyone living in or has lived in Iceland) is how does the healthcare system work? Because I have tried to understand it but I can't make sense of it.

Not right now.

I'm going to be doing a missionary trip to Russia and Thailand for half a year, but when I come back, I plan on putting down some roots. I'm a firm citizen of prairie Canada.

It's possible that Russia will utterly capture my heart (not Thailand, it's too warm there), but even if it does, I'm at least going to wait for some political stability there before I even consider anything.

Then again, Iceland looks really, really nice...

I move around a lot with work anyway so I dont really mind it, ive lived all over the UK (scotland, wales and england). Im going overseas with work soon (to the middle east) mainly because I can make some serious coin. Its not somewhere anyone particularly wants to be but the money is very tempting and would give me a healthy deposit on a house

ideally id like to live somewhere like cuba. Its nice weather, a nice pace of life and generally more relaxed than western countries. I like the idea that there is a self-contained functional socialist country in existence and it would be nice to get away from the right-wing corporate world we live in. Sadly though its pretty unrealistic and the grass IS always greener.

I would relish the opportunity to move back to Portland, Oregon right now. I had to leave because I couldn't afford staying and couldn't find work in time, but recently I found out how to properly sell my artwork to make it work for the best.

Out of country though, I'd like to try Canada or Japan. The latter mostly for school reasons, since I'm studying mechanical engineering.
