Well, I'd only get one if I lost a natural arm already. But if that does happen, then I'd use it as a regular arm for the most part, albeit one with slightly increased strength. Also, I'd have a laser gun installed, which I could use either to wield stuff, burn stuff, or for self-defence.

Things would be fun.

I get one of those crazy transforming ones like the TX from Terminator 3. It would need to be capable of super strength and transforming into a flamethrower and a minigun, of course. Maybe a laser as well.

Could I still play the piano with it? It's a big part of my life, and I would hate to lose the dexterity that it requires. If I had the same motor skills, I suppose that I would install some kind of grappling hook thing. Suppose you're late for a meeting on the 10th floor of your building. With the grappling hook arm, you could shoot right up there in seconds, without having to wait for the elevator. Sure, you'll probably have to smash the window open, but everyone inside will be too in awe of your robot arm to bother you about it.
