Does "True Blood vampire rules apply" include the presence of a TruBlood-like substitute?
The tvtropes article (don't watch True Blood so that's my source) says most of the powers vary, like it just says that "some" vampires can fly and whatever. So what powers does the standard become-a-vampire package come with?
Either way, I'm voting yes because my decision is just based on the trade-off between immortality and the various weaknesses vampires have, which here are silver, being staked (hardly counts because humans are also vulnerable to that), sunlight.
Oh - do True Blood vampires shrug off injuries that aren't deadly to vampires, or do they just regenerate from them?
Umm, basically as you age you gain power. The vampires that are around a thousand or more years old, some of them can fly. But the standard package is immortality, super strength, speed etc. The ability to 'Glamour', sense other supernaturals and I think that's about it.
As for weaknesses. They are weak to silver, it burns them and somewhat dulls their powers, sunlight obviously. But other than that, Garlic is fine, Holy Relics and whatnot have no effect.
Injuries, almost any injury can be healed, but they can die from large wounds if they have not fed for a long time. So if a Vampire is starving then they will need to feed before they can heal. It's also worth noting that feeding is not required to kill the human.
As for the topic. Yes. Yes I would. Even if there was no TruBlood. I like night hours, I very much want to live for as long as possible, I don't like being ill, I would like all the powers associated. SO yes, the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion.
