Can I choose an option to stake myself in the heart to prevent myself becoming a vampire, thus staving off the Twilight and True Blood fans?

Anita Blake Esque vampires then sure, where depending on what bloodline you are descended from the powers change.
You are either a "master" vampire or just a regular old vampire, no matter how old you are that won't change.
Master Vampires have an animal they can "call" and any weres of that species E.g- Vamp can call wolves, and therefore Werewolves.

Destruction of the heart by silver/wood and destruction of the head for old ones, seriously old ones burn the body heart and head and spread the ashes in seperate bodies of running water to prevent ressurection.

Holy objects only protect the wearer if the wearer actually has faith in what the holy object represents. Hallowed ground only protects people who have faith. Silver makes them heal slower, and silver chains can restrain them, sunlight burns, but old ones can be out in the weak sun for peroids but never in direct light. The more powerful the vampire the earlier he wakes up in the day. (All vampires die at dawn)

Without a second thought, as the creature seems to imply semi-immortality or at least extreme natural life extension.

Some of the ideas that have developed would be a little hard to deal with, though. For instance, not being able to deal with the sun or taste food or ect. However, no matter if it was the worst case of interpretation of what a vampire is, it would be something to take in a hearbeat. As the amount of pleasure a person can derive would multiple by a thousand fold if not much more than that.

It's like asking if I would be willing to not eat my favourite food for year, and in return get 500 million dollars. Of course it would be worth it.

Being immortal sounds like it sucks big time, so no.
Well, if you got tired of living, you could always stay up late and catch a sunrise.

Personally, no. As tempting as eternal life and superpowers would be, I wouldn't want to have to constantly hurt or kill others to maintain them. And as a vampire, you wouldn't even have a choice, you'd have to do it or go crazy and die. Plus, I like the sun >__>
If only there was some place with tons of blood already outside of humans that can be consumed easily without harming anyone.

Someone should invent one of these places.

@OP I would take up Vampyrism in a heartbeat. Would be the last one I ever had ;).

Once I was a Vampire I'd raise lots of money and start funding serious space travel research and development. Since I have the longevity to go anywhere in the universe without dying of old age. Good times for sure.

Depends on if I get full control of my faculties. Erections are based on blood flow, after all.

Also depends on if there's any groups that exist solely to fight vampires. I don't want to be hunted my entire life ala Jumper.

And it depends on how vulnerable I am in the sun.
Vampires have magic wangs that erect themselves.

At least that's the only way I can explain hundreds of thousands of vampire romance novels and other such stuff.

Alternatively being a Liche might work also.

Ew no, I always hated vampires. I would only be a vampire if I could be Leslie Nielson Dracula.
The daymare was my favorite, "Renfield, look at me! I'm drinking wine, and eating chicken!"

But I could never be a vampire. Vampires have to all be messed up in the head. To believe their lives are more important than all the people they eat combined.

I can't help but ask if that's intentional or not.
OT: No, I wouldn't want to be one,
Heh. I actually didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

Vampire? HELL NO.

First of all, you can only go out at night. That's lame.
Two, you have to sleep in a coffin or some other kind of box. That's uncomfortable.
three, you need to drink blood. Ewww. Plus, you'd be tempted to drink human blood all the time, and that's just evil.
Four, if you find a substitute for blood, you either become a very sickly vampire, or you turn into one of the most hated pop culture phenomenons EVER.
Five, who wants to live forever?
and 6, you tend to be expected to wear formal clothes a whole lot and I hate formal clothes.

I'd take werewolf over Vampire ANY day. Yeah, the whole full moon = mandatory transformation thing is a pain in the ass, but it's still way better than vampire!

I never watched True Blood, so I have no idea the universe I would live in. So forgive me if I get the following wrong.

Vampires sound awesome, you stay hot, your super strong, and all senses (including ones that make sex awesome) are enhanced. So why not?

However, I can imagine it would be pretty hard to become rich as a vampire with the whole daylight/blood drinking thinking, so its a tough call.

I think I would already like to be a billionare. So I can make an endless supply of money in stocks and property.

Making vampires into sympathetic protagonists is one of the worst things to have happened in modern fiction. No. Screw vampires.
Absolutely this. You'd never see a Vampire Lord from Heroes III coming up to you and 'offering' to turn you into a vampire.
It's a definite no.

I don't know what True Blood is, so I'll just go off the common vampire characteristics.

Super long life, increased physical prowess, excuse to stay up all night and sleep all day...sounds good! And I can be a vigilante vampire, hunting down and feeding on the scum of the earth. I'd probably start with criminals, and if that supply started to run low I'd prey on groups of people I don't like (WBC, racists, internet trolls, ...telemarketers)

Only reason why I would ever become a vampire is to find Edward and kill him on the spot along with that airheaded nincompoop Bella, by giving her a C section in the FACE with a GUN filled with HOLYWATER BULLETS.

And get the werewolves to help me.

Depends on these things:

- Will I look weird? (er) I think having Red eyes/fangs would be ok, but I don't want no pointy ears or mega pale skin.
- Will I be able to go out in sunlight? If not, then I guess I could deal with that.
- How often do I have to feed? every few hours? FUCK THAT I'd be too lazy
- Will I have Eternal youth? because if not, then fuck that

I would much prefer to be a werewolf anyway :3

Sure. Just think about all the good that could be done with those kinds of powers, and immortality (assuming I don't have to kill people to survive, of course). Plus, if immortality ever got old as I'm sure it would, I'd still have the option to off myself, so I don't see how it could be considered a downside at all.
