I say Guitar Hero/Rockband and all Sports. Nothing like paying full price for dlc (or at best expansion) every year.
Can't defend sports games myself as I agree with you there, however in GH/RBs defence, you pay £40 for 80ish songs, as well as the new stuff, or at least in rock band 3s case, (pro mode, and all the other good stuff it added) which I dont feel is over priced as a song is £1.50, so you do actually get 20 free songs alongside the extra content.

I voted with CoD, mostly because I'm tired of people who have nothing better to do than run around as armchair lieutenants, and listening to their conversations always makes me feel smarter by comparison. But in retrospect, I think removing *Warcraft* (you did say 'franchise,' not 'game') would probably be more beneficial to a lot of people. I'm not sure what the effects on the gaming industry would be though, since there would no longer be that paragon of quality to motivate game design and innovation.[footnote]And yes, WoW has had 10 years of development, its team have pretty much everything about it down to an exact science. You can disagree with their methods of balance and storytelling all you like, but you cannot deny that it's damned effective.[/footnote]

Is there a none option? I may not like every franchise but it someone likes it then it has ample reason to exist.

Picked WoW; Granted, I'm not so experienced with it as I am with some other MMO's, but I do give it credit, and loftily, I'll even call it a good game (just not one I can get into). However, with it's removal, there's a possibility that MMO's could take more diverse directions, instead of quite a few big names becoming (shameful) "WoW clones". Though, I do recognize, without WoW, MMO's in general probably wouldn't be so popular.

I'd get rid of COD without a second thought. How about we create something new for a change rather than releasing the same game every year?

The Sims. I didn't like the first game and still have negative memories about it.

World of Warcraft

It isn't a game; it's an addiction model designed to suck the life out of gaming as we know it.

I despise Half Life with every cell in my body. And I have quite a lot of cells, mind you.

I'd like to see the EA Sports division removed entirely, but that's just me.

If I had to pick from that list, and disregarding 'Other'... I'd go for none.

EDIT

Ok, a lot of people want to see CoD gone.

And a lot of the argument (it seems) appears to be centered around "Let's release something new every year instead of another CoD game".

Thing is, I think that would be a bad thing.

Regardless of what your views on the franchise is, there's no doubt it's making a shitton of money. That money can go towards things - ...like making more CoD games. But also, you know, paying wages. And that huge wad of cash can help go towards a new IP (that will eventually become a franchise if we're talking about Activision, but still).

Take all that money away. Take all the money that CoD is raking in, and suddenly you've got a smaller company. Less money to go towards staff, less money to go towards games.

Final Fantasy, no question. People can talk about how it changed the genre, and I guess I agree, however I feel it changed it for the worse, not the better. Even today, with FF13 and FF14 stinking the place up like nobody's business, people still point to this crap as the best the JRPG genre has to offer and think that if FF is doing poorly, the whole genre must be in a decline. No, fuck that. The rest of the JRPG genre is doing just fine thank you very much.

I say it's time to pay less attention to the "Fantasy" part of the title and more to the "Final" part. As in "It's finally time to end this shit."

None, if I don't like a game I just don't play it. Why would anyone care that much about a game they don't enjoy?

Call of Doody.
It's killing the industry (look at the utter lack of Christmastime releases), and it's just plain TRYING to be offensive as Hell.
It's gotten so batshit insane in both respects, I almost rage seeing the obscene number of copies of Black Cocks in every damn store.

Team Fortress 2 or Half Life...I don't hate Valve, in fact I love Portal and Left 4 Dead, I just think TF2 and Half Life are so vastly overrated...

World of Warcraft. It's a fine game, but then we'd have so many people with lives. But we wouldn't have Leeroy Jenkins...

War Of Warcraft. Imagine how many people would have a life without that game or maybe it does nothing (move on to another mmorpg).
You could say exactly the same thing about Facebook.

CoD because im really pissed at Treyarch at the moment for releasing a broken game on the PC and not fixing it for two goddamned weeks (and still counting).
goddam, your avatar caused me to smack my screen. thanks.

anyway, i wouldnt eliminate any franchise. in my opinion, every single franchise in existence has at least several excellent games among its number that i have loved or other people have loved. it would be ashame if they never existed.
