Wasn't it the assumed trench warfare of WW2 by the French that led to their downfall? (ahhhh, I miss the History Channel. >_<)

It was more the French overconfidence in the Maginot line that led to their defeat in ww2. That and their refusal to believe the germans could attack from above the maginot line thrugh holland.

Anyway, i would use my knowledge of history to manipulate the people into making me overlord of earth.

I'd steal a piece of technology from 1909, bring it back to present time, patent it, and make a shit load of money off of it!

Ohhh the temptation to fuck everything up for everyone by messing with the past would be too much.... but then there's always that theory that if you go back in time, what you've done has already effected the timeline. So after about ten minutes of rambling about hostile alien take-overs and being a savior god-warrior, I would most probably be shot.

so they can TELL at a glance that you are from the future .. and you will tell the nazi's that they should not go to war .. first thing they will do is grab you .. then start to question you and IF you are lucky you will start to sing like a bird before they start cutting off parts of your body and feeding it to you.
