If Yahtzee tore my game apart, I would realize that it's his job to tear apart games, even good ones. I would blow him off and find a review that tries to evaluate the game without a negative bias toward everyhting, and use that to improve my future endeavors instead.

Take some of his valid points and improve on it, laugh at the silly jokes and remind myself he didn't complain about the art (hopefully) and blame the programmers.

Be happy that yahtzee had reviewed it, thank him for the extra free publicity, laugh at the points he made and go away with a huge grin on my face

I'd consider his criticisms seriously try to address those issues in future games. I'd also send him an email to thank him for the criticism, ask him for a few extra pointers, and maybe even ask him to come be part of the team working on my next title.

None of the above? If I designed a game and he didn't like it, i'd be more concerned with the posts that followed afterward. Yahtzee is an entertained and i'm less concerned with what he says than the potential customers to be honest.

If Yahtzee tore apart my game it would probably be for good reason and I'd already be aware of some of the issues.

I would thank him and make my next game with better gameplay and take out some of the flaws he mentioned after I finish rocking in the fetal position repeating "This is not good, this is not good. I thought it was pretty good". I am really easily stressed.

Well, since my answer wasn't there exactly, I picked the closest one. The second. The man picks apart every flaw in a game and that's what I would want to focus on to improve my next game, were I a developer.

Pretty sure Yahtzee "victims" are happy most of the time because it's usually the publishers fault for booting the door out the door. So I'm sure I'd have the same relief.

As long as he gives me some constructive criticism then that's perfectly fine by me. I like to hear other peoples opinions, I've learnt a lot from you strangers and I use the info to better my self.

While Yahtzee is an entertainer, most if not all of his points are not without merit. I always find myself watching his reviews of games I've played, and even if I love the game, I can still admit that I've noticed the weak points he has highlighted. Sure, he makes us laugh, and what he says should be taken with a grain of salt, but his points are valid, and his criticisms are fair.

Remember that Yahtzee is just an entertainer and that he rips apart every game and go on with my life.

Perhaps even watch the video a few times and laugh.
Exactly - Its constructive criticism, not just scratching at it with some kind of knife...

I think I'd just be amused. I watch Zero Punctuation to be amused, after all.

I think it's worth remembering that while Yahtzee may have some valid points, he's not a real reviewer in my opinion. He's not really impartial, he often only brings up one or two criticisms of a game and then rants about them for several minutes, and he's much more inclined to hate games if they don't have innovation, even if they're good games.

When I want to read a review, I'll look for an article titled as such. When I want to watch a hilarious and very articulate gentleman get very angry over the latest Sonic game, then I'll watch Zero Punctuation.

Why is there no "Sacrifice your first born child to Yahtzee in order to receive his blessing which will cause your game to be perfect" option? Strange that Valve was the only one willing to do that and no one has noticed.

I would laugh my ass off, because the criticisms that he makes while valid are overexaggerated to the power of over 9000, a lot of the games he makes it clear in the beginning or the end that the game isn't actually bad despite everything he said.

Also make the executives watch it and say "Yeah, see next time let me do my job and polish MY game".

His video reviews are obvious exaggerations, his extra punctuation articles are more constructive than his videos in my opinion

It's take it for what it is but also use it as motivation to make a better game and show him up. I'd take all his points into account and work from there. Look at what we did good and what could be better.
