Id take the jail time rather than participate in imperialism

Conscientious objector. If I have to sit 30 days in a military prison, so be it.
30 days, is that all?

"A what?"
"You know, a coward."

See you in Canada!
no no no. refusing to take part in an unjust imperialistic war, refusing to fight, and going to jail for it, is not being a coward. If the war is purely about american safety, then maybe, but...when was the last war about that? World war 2? and before that, the revolutinary war, possibly civil.

any other war was pure imperialism

if your drafted the honorable thing to do is enlist, you don't have to support the war(if thier is one going one) to be able to do your part. Personaly Im going in eventually anyway so why not

Where's the 'my duty' option?

Though that would be quite a trick considering when I tried to sign up they wouldn't let me in. Apparently the armed forces doesn't like people with dyslexia.

edit: This was in 1998 BTW when they weren't hurting for people so much.

I'd enlist in the Coast Guard. I'm not a fighter, so I figure that would be the best way to serve my country.

(The name of this is Dulce Et Decorum Est, which is a shortening of the Latin phrase "Dulce et Decorum Est, Pro Patria Mori" which means (roughly) "It is fitting and sweet to die for ones country".)

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of disappointed shells that dropped behind.

GAS! Gas! Quick, boys!-- An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And floundering like a man in fire or lime.--
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,--
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

I am already in canada so it is simple. If the canadian government were to conscript I would join the navy as an officer volintarily. The canadian navy had almost no casualties in ww2.

Considering when the military talked to me in high school, all I did was say "medications" and they hung up...yah, doubt this would be an issue for me.

Go rent the movie, you won't regret it...
They
Act insane, act like nazis, and act gay to avoid the draft...

To Canada, because, according to what I have heard, Canada is just Australia with snow and hilarious accents.

If I was drafted the osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in both my knees and two of my fingers would most likely make me be sent home for not being well enough to fight.
