Let's weigh up the pros and cons here. I'm going to assume, for the record, that we're talking about vampires that still have blood-flow, because contrary to popular belief most fictional vampires still have some sort of blood-flow in their bodies, as do most of the traditional vampires in older myths and legends (that pre-date Stoker and Le Fanu), and indeed a lot of traditional vampires needed this because they used sex as a tool for attracting their prey, similar to the incubus and succubus that are so commonly associated with the vampires of legend.
Pros:
- I find the gothic style to be really attractive.
- I have a bizarre fascination with darkness and the occult.
- I'd be immortal.
- I'd be much more able to seduce girls.
- I'd be able to turn into certain animals, which would be awesome.
- I'd be able to limit my prey to criminals, thus doing society a favour while I feed.
- Super strength.
- Super speed.
Cons:
- I like garlic.
- I like daylight.
- I have to cross running water to get to plenty of places, including work.
- Immortality is no good when all your friends and family eventually die.
- Too much risk of me touching silver.
- It'd annoy my flatmates if they have to 'invite' me back into the flat every time I go out.
- Angry mobs would kind of get annoying after a while.
Hmmmmm, it's a tough call. It depends. If it's a sexy female vampire who seduces me then turns me into one, a la most vampire fiction, then maybe yes. Probably, though, I'd prefer to stay human. There are too many benefits of being human that I wouldn't want to give up.
If I get the sexy female vampire lovin' anyway, without being turned, then sure, that would work. Or if I could be a vampire like the sort on TV series 'Being Human' then I'd be willing to be turned. But otherwise, probably not...
