Nahhhhhh! Once when I was 16 maybe and reading Anne Rice and not knowing shit about anything. But now. Seen to much already, the prospect of eternity is just to big. Also taking others lives just to keep going. No thanks.

Yes. There are definitely a lot of drawbacks, but there is so much to do, and being immortal gives me the time to do it...
Imagine a second a scientist that DOES have all the time in the world! What he could end up finding!

OT: Give me immortality without the "killing other people/can't go out in the sunlight/garlic" drawbacks and I'll take it in a heartbeat. All the pain of losing loved ones would be fairly well balanced otu by my infinite life-time to learn everything and save lives and stuff. So even though I wouldn't take immortality with the 'garlic/sun/blood' drawbacks, I'd still take it with the 'invite only/stake through the heart/lose everybody you love' drawbacks.

So yeah, the answer is no.

what misery? you'd be there, you'd have your vampire friends, you would sleep in the day and you wouldn't need to kill people, just turn them into vampires. and i'm pretty sure blood would taste better as a vampire.
