It's an excellent game, I played 10 hours straight co-op split screen and had a blast with someone who isn't even into the [FPS/RPG] thing and he STILL loved it. ...Infact he was the reason I played so long, it was the "just one more mission" thing.

Although it has a REALLY underwhelming start, it's actually a good game. I bought it, love it, and haven't even delved into multiplayer.

What actually bugs me the most is the music.... it sucks.

to be honest I just don't know yet
I didn't really hear much about it until after its box art was changed
(and all that deal with its style overhaul)
and I wouldn't be thinking about it if I wasn't getting a press copy of it soon to review for my school newspaper
BUT from what I've heard it's a fun co-op game that's more than just standard FPS sooo...give it a shot if you want to play with friends?
I know I'll be playing/reviewing it with a friend (a PC user who is better at inventory management than me lol)

I've already pre-ordered it on d2d.

Looks great. Diablo 2 + Fallout 3? Count me in.

I'm going to buy it. The art style itself has peaked my interest, the 4 player co-op really appealed to me, the the split-screen multiplayer sealed the deal.
It has split screen multiplayer? That's just sealed it for me. Lots of fun to be had shooting dudes with your cousins and friends. Still going to wait till Christmas though.

This is a game meant to be played with buddies.

It will get old on single player after a while.
You know that you buds can just join in with you whenever you want? I think it's going to be like Battle.net - you make online characters and use them all the time.

but I have become rather bored with the Xbox 360 games I currently own.
Story of my life mate, I can only afford a game a month and sometimes it feels like AGES. between getting new games.

I want Borderlands simply because I look at it as a game like L4D with RPG features that thinks outside the box.

Plus look at all the cool skill trees I came up with: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.150950#3558103
