Without any case or a situation in particular, are you generally pessimistic or optimistic guys?

Personally, I tend to be much more pessimistic than optimistic. Im very reluctant about relying on other people for example and I dont have much hopes for unfamiliar people expecting me to trust them immediately. Im careful and reserved when it comes to these kind of things.

And you guys eh? Generally speaking, are you pessimistic or optimistic?

Seriously now, are you working for an invading force, trying to profile all of us so you and your alien friends can disguise yourselves as humans?

Or are you with the CIA and you are gathering this information in order to enhance your newest mind-control project?

I may or may not be a pessimistic optimist.

Dude, you have to leave room for other people to make threads too.

I don't know, I'm a hope for the best but prepare for the worst, kind of girl.

I'm a pessimist around optimists, and an optimist around pessimists... I like to feel special ;)

And really, take a break from all the questions for a bit, please.

I'm also prepared for the worst kind of girl. That's why I carry triple-layered condoms and a can of mace.

I'm extremely pessimistic. Not "purely", but pretty damn close. I would say it makes more sense, as if you get your hopes up, surely it hurts more when things go wrong?

But I'll admit, thinking that everything's going to turn to shit all the time is getting tiring. I now find it difficult to believe otherwise. I guess I'm set in my ways.

Pessimist, certainly.
I'd rather be surprised by something good than disapointed.

Ha!
My bad.

Thanks for being so subtle in pointing it out.

I'm a bit of both. For instance, I'm pessimistic about the chances you will actually listen to all of our complaints about all the threads you create but optimistic that the mods will eventually just start locking them.

I am not purely optimistic but I am pretty easy going.
I think this is not because I want to be nice to people, but just because I cant be bothered to be angry anymore.

I try not to get worked up over drama, not to start fights, believe in common courtesy and generally believe (with hard work) that people can do anything. I think I'm more cautiously optimistic rather than full on optimist.

It takes too much energy to be pessimistic and never did any good for me to think that way.

Optimistic.

I always find myself assuming that things will improve for no particular reason.

Neither. I'm a realist.
Isn't pessimism optimistic realism?

Also is it pessimistic if you have seen the future?

Anyway, I tend to be a bit more pessimistic but try to remain positive. Hooray for mainstream, I guess?

i try to be a realistic optimist in general (as being pessimistic only leaves throwing oneself off a bridge as a viable modus operandi) - but sometimes life has a way of kicking you right where it hurts xD
