Hate to dash people's hopes...but Gran Turismo 5 is going to be a HUGE disappointment. I'm talking "Too Human" level of disappointment.

The hype is too huge, and the development too slow.

Of those...God of War 3.

I'd say FF13, but JRPG hating is cool now, so low scores will drag down the average.
What makes you think it'll be so disappointing? Hasn't FF 13 been the dissapointing one so far?
First, it's a racing game. What the fuck are they working so hard on at this point exactly?

Forza Motorsport has had TWO excellent, full fledged games during the development cycle of this one game.

As for FF13: Not to me, no. It's going to be much more linear, which cuts down on THE WORST PART OF JRPGS. NPCs in towns in JPRGs suuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
I agree about linearity in JRPGs but that's beside the point. Loved FF 10, nice and linear.

So it'll be dissapointing because they took long to make it? I'm not quite following you here. I'd prefer if they get it perfect instead of rushing it out, maybe I'll pick up a racing game again since a long time. Forza and GT just don't compare, no offense.

Actually, they kinda do. Forza hasn't gotten below a 90. And Gran Turismo has a bunch of titles resting in the low-mid 90s.

Out of all these "promising titles" I'm likely to play a grand total of zero of them. The ones that are actually promising aren't on the PC and the ones that are aren't interesting at all. So I don't really care which scores highest. That being said, I'm going to go with God of War 3 or Final Fantasy 13. RDR is likely going to be a dull buggy mess, but then again the rest of the world seems to love cowboys much more than I do, so I guess it might get up there.

Proper number installments of Final Fantasy usuallly scores well on Metacritic so I reckon FF13 will hit the high 80s/early 90s.

Probably Heavy Rain, if only because journalists are obsessed with "games as art" and seem to froth at the mouth when anything even remotely challenging or unconventional sees release. That this one actually has great production values, a "mature" story, and an interesting approach to storytelling means that, if it's good on top of innovative and artistic, it's guaranteed a metric ton of praise. Just try not to take all the raving too seriously.

Well, I always found Forza better, especially 3 with its non-hardcore friendly options allowing friends to pick up and play.

I love Rewind...
