So 2016 is coming to end and we saw plenty of FPS games this year. which one you think is best?

for me its still easily Doom by far. no FPS impress me much as Doom did. not only this year but in last 10 years. its easily GOTY 2016.

Deus Ex MD not as good as HR or original but still a good game. Titanfall 2 was biggest surprised for me this year.

most dissapointment for me was shadow warriro 2. i was so looking forward to this because i LOVE the original game but I got borederlands.

so vote here all my friends, and fellow gamers.

The only ones on that list that I've played are Overwatch and Deus ex 4.

Overwatch is fantastic, but a little lacking in content, and DE4 is...Hmm...

I'm playing it just now, and so far it feels like one (big) step forward, and two (small) steps back from Human Revolution. I like it a lot, but somehow, despite all the great new options and the more immersive city hubs, everything feels just a little bit clunkier, and the major focus on side missions instead of lots of big huge full blown infiltration missions rubs me the wrong way just a little. I DO love the amazing side missions, but I really miss the bigger infiltration missions. Not to mention the balance feels a tiny bit off. Took WAY too long to find myself a Silencer, and I still have not found a revolver (one of my favourite weapons from the previous game) despite just now reaching City hub Version 3.

Out of these two, I lean a little more towards giving it to Deus Ex 4, but overall, I don't feel super qualified to give that opinion.

Oh easily Infinite Warfare, it has the best graphics, it's also fast and it's more old school. Easily beats Doom because the developers obviously care more about fps.

Farming simulator '17. It's a game for manly men and also not so girly.

I think it's a toss up between Mankind Divided and Homefront: The Revolution. I might have to give it to Homefront: The Revolution for having such rich, peerless atmosphere.

I only played Overwatch, so I guess I'd vote for that. I'll get around to playing Doom one of these days. Don't really have any interest in the others.

Froom that list, I played Overwatch, Titanfall 2, and Battlefield 1 from that list. I voted Overwatch since it's probably the one I would most likely recommend to someone despite the fact I enjoyed it the least.

Titanfall 2 I enjoyed the most, but it has the most problems. More of the same with regards to the original Titanfall, and much worse map design. Angel City has addressed that somewhat, and I hope there is future free DLC that brings additional great maps.

Battlefield 1 is more of the same. It's a good game with no major flaws.

Overwatch has no real flaws and is something pretty new. My main problem is the sheer number of hard stuns. I strongly dislike playing against characters that have them, and since heroes like Roadhog, Ana, Reinhardt, Mei, and Mcree are all at least somewhat popular, I end up getting frustrated quite often.

Definitely Doom. It's simply the most fun to play. Titanfall 2 probably has the tightest controls of any game I've ever played. But the campaign, while fun, is short and nowhere near as fun as the campaign in Doom. Mankind Divided was also pretty good but also played like it was still in 2011 unlike Titanfall 2 and Doom which really pushed the genre forwards. And the story in MD wasn't really good enough to compensate in my opinion.

Haven't played Battlefield 1 yet but I doubt the campaign will replace Doom as my favorite.

DOOM with Titanfall 2 a close second.

Weirdly enough, I like them for similar reasons even though they're really very different. The mobility and speed in both games feels fantastic, they both control so tightly. You feel in total control but really cool maneuvers still feel effortless. Both of them make you feel powerful through speed and fluidity. They could hardly control less similarly but they both gave me the same feeling of being an acrobatic death machine.

DOOM's structure seems like it would have been something that really bored me, it's just corridors with monster arenas throughout and it should get incredibly repetitive but, for some reason, it just never stops being fun for me. It's really not much an old-school game at all, really, it doesn't feel or play anything like classic Doom or Quake or Unreal or anything, but it takes elements from those games with some modern sensibilities and ideas and melds them wonderfully. I felt like the upgrade system wasn't entirely necessary, though. The arcade mode is probably the best way to play it.

I haven't played many of the others though so maybe I shouldn't vote.

I say Doom. I play Overwatch more and probably have more fun with it but I play Overwatch for the multiplayer, I play Doom for the FPS.

Doom 2016 is a remarkable game. I say this as an old ancient of the peddling doom shareware on floppy disks back in 1993-94 variety.

Same here. I had heard from many that it was really good, but it still managed to blow my expectations away. It nailed everything. Guns, enemies, boss fights, level design... Even story for the most part. It was just so much better than it seemed like it had any right to be.

So in other words it's the best CoD in over a decade?

I enjoyed Overwatch and Battlefield 1.

Doom bored me silly. Couldn't even be bothered finishing it. By the halfway point I wasn't even paying attention to what weapon I used. Just ran in circles, clicked in the vague direction of anything that moved and hit the auto-kill button whenever something flashed. Everything else takes care of itself. Very mindless game, and not in a good way.
