I have brought, played and completed every COD game and the only one i didn't sell on within a few months of completion is COD3 and i still have it and play it all the time.

Its like going back to a time when multiplayer wasn't just all about pointless ranks or pointless customization and statistics a time where people didn't take everything so god damn seriously and it was just about killing the other dudes and having fun.

How i prefer that time to now......

Yup, it's gotta be Call of Duty 4. It is one of those games where everything fits in perfectly togheter.

Probably 5. I liked the whole thing really, although the multiplayer maps didn't really flow well splitscreen, they all worked brilliantly with lots of people online. The story was good, especially the Russian levels, and of course, Nazi Zombies is the icing on the cake.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the entire series (even in weak spots like 3), in fact, aside from strategy games (Total War, HoMM and C&C), it's probably my favourite series. I think most of the criticism just comes from snobbery, to be honest.

CoD4. If you don't have it, go get it. It's MW2 with 90% less bullshit. It takes skill, and it's tactical. The only annoying things are:
noob tubers (less frequent than MW2)
M16 is overpowered (and everyone uses it)
Martyrdom (Eventually you just learn not to walk near bodies)

Other than that, the game is perfect.

Listen to these two. ^ ^

I've liked all the Treyarch titles better than the Two Infinity Ward Titles.
I though Treyarch had only made two of the CoD games, CoD3 and WaW. With Infinity Ward making the rest. Anyway, World at War is one of the most aggravating games I've ever played. It makes me want to hurt Treyarch. Instead I'll simply avoid Treyarch games in the future, although I did like Spider-Man 2....
Sorry Sir, my mistake.
