Damn was completely ninja'd there. I agree completely with atalanta. The whole point of that scene was whether or not he was toying with her the entire time about knowing her true identity and the suspense that that brung.
Sorry (not really :V)
I was a little underwhelmed by some of the opening scenes with the Basterds (they were enjoyable enough, but kind of heavy-handed), but that scene between Landa and Shosanna was just fantastic, and the beginning of all the really good stuff.

Because he singled out avatar and Inglorious and showed dislike towards them. I thought they were some of the better films out last year so i'm surprised is all. Just want to see what his taste in films is like to compare.
I have immensely mixed feelings about Avatar. It was gorgeous and it really shone in 3D and I'm glad I saw it all the pretty, but the plot was paper-thin and filled with enough stereotypes I really hate (Noble savages! Mighty Whitey! Technology and capitalism are evil! Etc etc) that I had a hard time turning off my brain and just watching the glorious scenery roll past.[/quote]
Yeah I must admit the way Eli Roth acted in the beginning scenes annoyed the hell out of me. His pretentiousness kinda spoilt it a bit for me. And going back to the restruant scene, yeah that has got to be one of my favourite scenes from any of Tarintino's films. The dialogue is superb
I went into Avatar not looking for a story but more of visuals experience. I know good special effects and the 3D are no excuse for a lacking story line but I didn't feel it was that bad. Yes its a terrible cliche of a storyline however I found the translation to a futuristic setting quite interesting.
