It's okay, but nothing great. Throughout the whole movie I thought: "In reality, they'd have been killed within a week."

I really liked it. I am a huge Tarantino fan, and I would say he really did well with Basterds. His best? No. Nothing, Tarantino or not, tops Pulp Fiction in my eyes, but it's still a fantastic film.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

I thought it was quite good. The experience of watching it sucked because it seemed to be everyone's goal of the day to distract me from the film but yeah it was good. Definitely need to re-watch it. I like it. Good use of a double negative by the way.

In reality, Neo would look like swiss cheese, in reality, James Bond would have more STDs than you can count, in reality, there wouldnt've been any snakes on that plane, in reality, there wouldn't be a poltergeist in that house.

What I'm trying to say is, in reality, people watch fictional movies for a reason.

I was meh. SO much talking, which made me lose interest. The action scenes were really good though.
And that is the problem these days. People mostly wanna see action scenes instead of suspense building.
I like suspense building, but I thought they were taking it a bit too far, I was nearly zoning out.

Iight, this is only because my friend won't stop bitching about it. He keeps telling me to make this thread so I am. Do you like Inglorious Basterds? I say no. The plot development takes way too long and it results in nothing elaborate. Shosanna or Soshanna doesn't get killed by that guy from the beginning. The Basterds fail their plan. It may be somewhat of a comedy, but I didn't laugh, I just viewed it as stupid, now I'm going to make this a poll and you will agree that the movie sucks solely because I want to tell him that I win. Now vote damn-it!!

...It appears I unintentionally confused some people. Not not means yes because they cancel. So Yes means you hate it, No means you like it.
But the Basterds did succeed at their plan! Hitler died didn't he?

Don't use double negatives, you seem to be attempting to confuse people.

OT: I fairly liked it. It wasn't Tarintino's best work but it's still entirely excellent.

It's pure bullshit, althought I love other Tarantino movies, well not Kill Bill but Pulp Fiction is great.

You have the best scene of the best movie as an avatar. Excellent.

How much tension can a glass of milk hold? Gallons. I love Inglourious Basterds.

It was slow, boring, and awful. Terentino (I know I'll be flamed for this lol) Needs to stop making films and go to a part of the world so we can forget he exists.
The only thing I give it credit for, is doing the same thing "Valkyrie" did....keeping it so they didn't succeed in killing Hitler.
Dude... the events portrayed Valkyrie really happened. Thats pretty much how the assassination attempt went down. Its based on real events. In Inglorious Basterds they succeed in killing Hitler. Hell they shoot his body to pieces with sub machine guns.

Yeah, I know "Valkyrie" was based on a true story.
Forgive me for forgetting how Basterds ended. I tried to block it's atrocity from memory.
Well given that it was one of the best films of the year, and frankly it was HITLER GETTING SHOT WITH MACHINE GUNS! forgetting what happened seems a bit strange
Avatar was one of the "Best Films of the year" too. I try to forget that exists also.
So what films of 2009 appealed to your amazing and obviously so much more refined than my own tastes?
I never once, said anything about my taste in movies being better than yours. I'm just stating my opinions, and you seem to be getting bent out of shape about them.
You are avoiding the question.
You're absolutely right. I am avoiding the question. I'm also avoiding a potentially stupid online debate over something as simple as an OPINION.
I am stupid now? Well that is so nice of you to say.
Ummmm.....do you read things through? I said a potentially stupid debate. I didn't say a "debate with a stupid person" What are you trying to accomplish by twisting my words?
LOL, sigh.
I am trying to get an answer to my question.
Sorry. I'm going to use my super evasion skills to continue avoiding the question.

It was good, but i hated Brad Pitt and his accent, if they took him out, it would have been the best film ever, next to The Dark Knight.
I enjoyed the dark knight ALOT but if that's your best movie I'd suggest broadening your horizons.

Inglourious Basterds was not so good, i would have to agree with him. i love watching Tarantino movies but this one is not for me. The story took to long to get interesting, i laughed about 3 times through the movie. the Basterds fail their plans. i would have to give it a 3 out of 5. the only thing i liked about the movie is when Hitler was gunned down and his faced was ripped apart.=)

It was beautiful. Many people didn't like it because it wasn't a crazy action movie. But it was an old school action movie in a play format.

Yeah the results are going to be skewed to hell and back with his "clever" double negative.
