Ehh... I normally just put the year to the early 1900's, can't be bothered with putting in my actual birth date - would take more than 1-2 seconds and that is unacceptable to me.
And I am OVER 18, make no mistake about that. The age restrictions themselves are somewhat arbitrary, though. And stupid.
OH WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

Although I'm legal for everything, I can't be bothered to select my birth date. I just mash random numbers, because generally when I want to watch a video, I want to do so post-haste.

Faffing about with a frankly useless age verification doesn't even solve anything. Even if a given person IS underage, there's nothing to stop them just saying that they're 10,000 years old. It's just a pointless time waster.

Random date for me. It's too much hassle to search for my actual birthdate. Also I think it'd be pretty amusing if you kept track of how old everyone said they were each time and then averaged it and compared it too the average lifespan of a human. I get the feeling we'd see a rather major discrepancy. We get the figures back and like the average internet user is 153 years old.

I used to pick a random number that would make me above 18. But now I don't need to since I'm 21.

First I press 'continue' and see if it works. (it sometimes does!)
OTherwise, I'll put in that which I select the first.

I'm 22 and I stopped caring about age verifications around the time I was 14.

1 Jan (wherever the needle stops)

They could just ask "Are you over 18?", but it's more personal data that they want to collect.

I rarely run into those, but when I do, I put in my actual birthdate. Before I was legal, I used to say I was exactly two years older than I was ... I'm not sure why I ever took/take the time to care though ...

I used to always just put Nov 11, 1981, especially for things that require signing up with an age, just so I'll never forget it. Now I'm 20, so yeah.

Edit: When I have to put it in to watch a video, I just stick a random year and stuff. Too much time to find my real birthday.

There was this one where you actually had to type it out. I typed "old enough" and it let me in...

I'm lazy and put in whatever's easiest.

It's gets tiring scrolling to the correct MM/DD/YYYY each time. I'm 20 years, so I don't really care unless it's something that might be called on later. Then I do it accurate.
I got confused with the Saints Row The Third http://www.saintsrow.com/age-gate/enter?destination=node%2F46487 because it uses the MM/DD/YYYY and in Australia we're used to the DD/MM/YYYY (or maybe just I am).

It took me ages until I realised that it would let me put in my birthday as 29/01/1991 and there is no such 29th month. Let alone a 13th through to 28th.

That's why I always, when writing a date down or typing it in manually, put the month in letters, if I'm able to, so there is never any confusion. Aug 28, 1999. That simple.

I used to lie about my age to get into some M-rated game sites or to watch M-rated videos but now I'm 21 so I can use my actual birthdate.

If it's something permanent like an account I put my real information. I'm too paranoid to lie about that. If it's just one of those drop-down menu age verifiers, I lie. I lie maliciously.
