What two consenting sentient beings do is for them to decide as long as it doesn't harm those around them.

Captcha: Smollow that.

I think most developers get around this issue by making the alien species look alot like us. Have breasts and a high voice like a women. I don't know how I would feel about falling in love with something that wasn't human. I guess if an alien race landed and they were just like us, but all their females had devil tails, I guess I would roll with it. I guess the only time you see ugly aliens is when they are either trying to kill us, or they are insect looking. I think I could marry a cat girl if they are real, lol.

And so the curries defended on the thread sticking up for the perversions despite the fact anyone who would fuck a cat in real life clearly isn't viewing big breasted vat women online.

Apart from alien women that had consent(not that they probably have that concept) fucking animals is very wrong.

In Origins Elves were Africans, Dwarves were Russians and Humans were western Europeans So It's okay for fictional species that are stand ins for humans to. Other than that it's creepy.
Do all these threads about bestiality mean the escapist has been invaded by furries?

Y...you should have specified in the title that you meant sapient species...

Don't see why not; real people don't have to deal with this issue (yet), so why worry?
Well, I said someone, not something. I thought that would imply I meant people, not animals.

While this is a topic about something currently only fictitious, it is still an idea. Ideas are important, they shape things, like the way this might shape the future of storytelling. That gives it relevance, doesn't it? At the very least, it certainly raises questions. Also again, I will state this:

What if this kind of thing bled over into cinema? What would people think if another District 9 movie had a Prawn/Human couple making out on a park bench?

I wouldn't say it is immoral as long as it is an intelligent species and of course the relationship is concential.

banging an aliens, sounds like fun. And to those of you (you know who you are) are you really telling me, that if some hot alien was just ofeering itself to you, you wouldn't. Holy sh*t i would, and i'd film it and sell it to the internet man. Why deny yourself what could (< that word is key and i cannot stress it enough) be an amazing unique and maybe even beautiful experience just because a bunch of people said putting your penis ANYWHERE but a womens vagina was wrong. When the aliens come i will be the first one to consummate the inetplanetary alliance/war.

Why does this seem like a furry thread?

In games/movies/books, interspecies relationships exist because human beings aren't the only sentient, intelligent beings.

On the real world, planet Earth, there are no others.

I guess the key here is "consent". When you enter into an relationship, it's between 2 consenting individuals who desire one another. When you're plowing the neighbor's dog, there is certainly some kind of disconnect in "consent" there. As ludicrous as that person's imagination is, in trying to imagine the dog enjoying it, it just doesn't fit in with reality.

Mass Effect works because it's a different world, with established fictional rules, as with any large RPG world. In these worlds, there still exists racism, and discomfort, even when say an elf beds a nord.

In those fictional worlds, I would "support" (whatever that means) interspecies relationships or 'breeding', so long as it didn't create some sort of super-virus or mutant offspring every time they had sex.

I can't believe Jaq Draco didn't do Meh'lindi when she was in her Eldar guise. Damn, missed opportunity dude! Not many humans get to tap Eldar! But then again, he regarded sex itself primarily with the distaste of an Asperger's approach to human/anything contact.

Or he could've done her in the Genestealer hybrid guise ... now that would be odd ... extra limbs, anyone?

As long as it's two consenting individuals and no one gets hurt there's nothing wrong with it.

The only real issues I see ever really coming up are:

(a) The other species isn't considered capable of consent by our standards (max intelligence is equivalent to a child even though they have simple societies, etc.)
(b) Offspring would be horribly mutated and suffer (and that would probably be easy to get around with protection of some kind)
(c) The couple has to work around some kind of toxicity issue, much like how anaphylactic shock was an issue with turians or hallucinations with drell (again, though, that would be up to the couple to sort out)

Really there's nothing morally wrong with a relationship with a consenting member of another species, just physical or social difficulties to get around.

It would have to fall under a mammal-like classification, as unlikely as that is. Who would want to fuck something without tits anyway?

well we do it all the time between men and women. ok let be serious if they were both consenting adults where ever there from i don't see why there is a problem except maybe continuing the species might be a problem but i bet we could find a way around that

"Interspecies Relationships: Wrong?"
I guess being in the gaming discussion forum suggests it, but the title is still ambiguous.

Okay, but since this isn't an issue moral guardians feel the need tog et all indignant about, I don't see any reason to introduce any controversy. They're human for a given value of human.

Also, Garrus.

Now, I'm not gay. Just sayin': I would. He should probably repair is armour and wipe the blood off his face though.

With a human it's statutory rape, as animals cannot give consent. End of story really.
What about highly intelligent alien species? They are technically animals.

I'd say "adults are free to do as they please" but that's just what the irresistibly gorgeous, multi-vaginaed women of Arcturia want us to believe. Right before they arrive to breed us into extinction, our numbers ever dwindling as more and more of us fall into their soft, reptilian embrace.
