Sex, to not be classified as rape, is between two clearly consenting, of-age people who understand what they're doing, and the moral/emotional connections that may or may not go with the particular screw given the circumstances.

So if that's all going as stated then yes, it's okay.

This debate has been going since the original Star Trek. In my opinion, looks should not matter when it comes to love (or lust in some people/ alien's cases.)
Well they do. That's just biology. Physical attraction is the first step.
And who's to say what you find attractive is what everyone else does too. For all you know, I might have a fancy towards scales, or horns, or tentacles. And as long as my scaley, tentacled, horny lover is being consential, then what's the problem?

If the parts match and it isn't some creepy looking alien then I don't see the problem with it but for me to do it she'd have to be smoking hot to even contemplate doing it.

Then looks still matter to you. Just not people's preconceived notion of looks. As long as your horny lover (I'm not even sure what way you meant that ha) is sapient then fine. I see we were talking about different things, I thought you just meant that in love you don't think physical attraction should matter. I hope you and your Argonian lover are very happy together.
If only I could find me one... :(

I think that in fiction where you have two sentient creatures with equal levels/potential of morality and intelligence then it is perfectly legitimate for them to have a romance. Where things get sketchy and/or tragic is when they care about each other but their biology makes it literally impossible to have sexual relationships and in most cases have children, both of those issues are very important in consummating or finalizing the relationship.

If we do one day meet up with an Alien race capable of speech and movement then I say fuck it, be with who you want. The only problem I see is what would happen if both sides started inter-breeding? New species? Also there will the nut-jobs who cry out against human-alien relationships but that probably wont do much damage. So to answer your question. I don't think its wrong.

I'm assuming by 'inter-species', you're talking about aliens or fantasy races that are perfectly intelligent.

I for one find inter-species relations very exciting. I like the whole... exotic aspect to it, as well as what may be the forbidden fruit element. For example, that Tali-Shepard romance might be even better for me if my human crew began berating me for having relations with an alien. I find that sort of thing to be thrilling. Hell, i find Night Elves in WoW to be far sexier than Blood Elves, simply because Night Elves are by comparison far more exotic - purpley blue skin, tall slender bodies, facial markings, glowing eyes, and so on.

I'm actually going to be one of those guys who goes out of his way to find his own "Lusty Argonian Maid" to settle down with. To be honest, i think there might be reason for this from a biological standpoint - propagating your kin outside of current circles is a way of extending your genes beyond the standard gene pool, so to speak. Or maybe that's just me theorising about stuff i don't know about. Maybe a geneticist can pop in and correct me.

I see no problem with it.

So long as they are both of the proper legal age for their races, theres no real problem.

Well in the case of aliens, it wouldn't be like every piece of fiction in the world, suggesting that they have the same reproductive systems as us (or even enjoy the act).
They would likely not look attractive either simply because they would not have the characteristics that humans find attractive.

However, no, I would see nothing wrong with a human-alien relationship.
Also, to anyone who would oppose it (likely on the basis of or due to God), take into account that the existence God doesn't allow for aliens to exist, therefore God can not forbid human-alien relationships.

Futhermore, CROSS-SPECIES BREEDING IS NOT POSSIBLE. Barring a few examples like ligers of course, but the hybrid isn't always capable of breeding further and it isn't really possible for animals not closely related to begin with.
Aliens certainly would not be closely related, they would likely have an entirely different reproductive system.

On a completely unrelated note. Does anyone know if anti-matter life is theoretically possible? Because that would be interesting.

To everyone debating about Elder Scrolls and whether you can mate with Argonians or Khajiit, you've obviously never read the great books, "the Lusty Argonian Maid" and "Notes on Racial Phylogeny." Transcriptions of both can be found here:http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Lusty_Argonian_Maid and here:http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Notes_on_Racial_Phylogeny.

Basically it says it's possible and has happened before. As for the OP's question, it would be morally reprehensible to deny anyone the right to have recreational or procreational sexual relations given all things similar except for the physical appearance of the beings. Believe it or not but everyone's ancestors have done the same thing in the ancient past with neanderthals who were a different species of human, they had offspring and the offspring did as well. Being unable to have children is a very poor argument against sexual relations with consenting sentient, self-aware beings. If not being able to procreate makes having sex immoral then all the women who have had menopause would never be able to have sex again, not to mention younger women who've had hysterectomies because of early onset cervical cancer, or the men and women who are simply unable to have children for whatever reason.

I'm going to wrap this up since this is getting long. Not only is it morally acceptable so long as both parties are consenting adults (according to each respective culture), but it would be morally reprehensible to deny anyone the right to do so.

I for one do not care about interspecies relationships, I believe that if they love each other who cares if they wana bump uglies. I'd have sex with an Asari or a Quarian if the love is there and if someone thinks that is wrong so what? Love is love.

It has been stated already but having a loving relationship with another species is not the same as being sexually compatible. You might be in love with that sexy alien babe, but that doesn't mean you'd be able to reproduce or even have sex without awful awful consequences.

First I want to state that I have no problem with homosexuality. It may not be my thing, but what two consenting adult humans do is none of my business, and all the more power to them for doing what they want.
You know whenever people say this I automatically assume they're homophobic. It's like when people say "I'm not racist or anything, BUT..."

And I don't think anybody has to worry about Bioware letting Maleshep get it on with a Krogan because that would be far too different and unexpected and we all know originality and going against the grain isn't really Bioware's thing.
