The actual iPod machine is the only decent thing to ever come out of Apple. Yeah, I said it.

iTunes is a joke. A shitty, shitty joke. Floola >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> iTunes. It doesn't have a store. It doesn't constantly clog up my computer with needless updates. I can add one CD at a time to my iPod instead of creating an incredible and frustrating mess between libraries.

Oh and it. Just. Plays. The. Fucking. Music.

It's funny... I bought my iPod with plans to use it mainly to buy episodes of TV shows from iTunes and watch those, and it made me realize how much I love music.

I've used my brothers iPod Touch a few times, and honestly I find it really clumsy to use... Touch screens give the impression of precision but they're really not. The virtual buttons on the screen seem to be made with midgets in mind because unless you have tiny little fingers you'll often press something you didn't mean to.

Even if you don't encounter that problem, its annoying having to wipe your fingerprints off the screen every few minutes. It's also gimmicky, getting you to use the touch screen and motion sensing for tilting left and right when playing games on it - it obscures your vision when you tilt the screen all the time, and everything would be a million times easier with actual buttons.

Just doing anything, even down to browsing websites is really fiddly. Yay, lets put both fingers on the screen and move them in and out to zoom in, that is SO much easier than pressing a button; and you get the added bonus of fingerprints everywhere! Oh, and lets make it super sensitive too!

It's like having fancy technology simply for the sake of having it, even though buttons are a million times easier and more precise to use. So yeah, I don't like them.

Couldn't care less.
I use a generic MP3 player that gets the job done just fine.
Pretty much this. Mine's got five gigs of memory, a seventeen hour battery life, supports video, audio, AND audiobook files (I don't know, but it came with the whole The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe audiobook, so it's obviously useful).

I don't need your damn iPods.

I usually don't like really common overpopularized things, but iPods are just so damn convenient. I mean, it...plays music. I like listening to music! Lots of people do. It's that simple concept that makes the iPod so successful, and no matter how much I would like to (and trust me I would) I can't begrudge it for that.

I absolutely hate iPods.

And that has nothing to do with the fact that I can't afford one.

I hate them, my sister got a mp3 player that has more features then the basic ipod. For example it was cheaper, has a FM radio, plays video, and hold more song all for $80 USD

Hate, hate with a passion.

Just because they're so overhyped in England.

I mean everyone got the iPod nano. Fair enough.

Then a few months later they briong out a slightly different shaped ipod nano with extra colours. So EVERYONE was raving about it for weeks.

FFS it's an mp3 player, all it needs to do is play music!

I'm happy with my unheard of company mp3 player. However the software is shit.

My first ipod crapped out on me, so did the charging base to my shuffle. Not good luck with their product so far. I also find Itunes to be really over-complicated.

I got an iPod Nano for my birthday, and I LOVE it. I hate the iTunes store - it won't let me sign up unless I have a credit card which I refuse to get, but the iPod itself is a lovely piece of kit now it's been loaded up with a bunch of my CDs.

I can't stand apple in general. No customisation of computers, the software is NOT easier to use, they are generally a waste of space. People say they are better for media and graphical editing. Maybe back in the day but there has been so much stuff out for the open system (The thing IBM set up so everyone built their compupter componets to a standard. Apple didn't follow this) that you will get better performance out of it, for a lower price! Also the reason macs don't get as many viruses is because there so pointless why bother?

Ipods are just a waste of cash. Who need like 1234567 songs at once? You might as well get a cheap mp3 player with 4GB of space. At least then you can just use windows to throw the music over.

Itunes is the most bloated, unusable piece of shit that was ever programmed by human hands. It's one of the only instances where I can say that Microsoft has clearly been outdone in terms of counter-intuitive design. The iPods themselves really aren't very good, either, as they convert everything they play into Apple's format (128k VBR, too) and are rigged with such annoying anti-piracy measures.

All in all, I think Creative makes the best MP3 players, but I haven't yet tried out the Zune or any of Sony's models.
