I'm just asking. People going on and on about this hoo-ha about Day One DLC which really doesnt effect the game one bit yet the trolls come out of there cave to bomb Metacritic about something that doesnt matter.

[Edit] I am for Valve by the way.

Aren't there enough threads about this already?

Personally, I don't see the problem, but others do.
Also, is it necessary to mock the opposing side's viewpoint? Could you fix the poll?

I shall write a longer message with my opinion later, but I have to go to work in a moment, sadly.

Anyway, I just thought I should mention that, after looking at your poll options, you are not interested in a discussion, only ridiculing those who don't like day 1 DLC. Fair enough if you want to do that, but then why bother putting in a poll? There are two sensible options that don't care about DLC, a moronic response to not liking it, then just random words and phrases.

My short opinion, by the way, is that cosmetic DLC is fine*. Don't care one jot about that. Actual content DLC (al la 'Exiled Prince' for Dragon Age 2, for example) makes my blood boil!

EDIT *Although there should be tools for user generated cosmetic addons if so.

I think the real idiote are the people that are making a hundred of the same topics about this where instead of intelligently discussing the issue, they pre-emptively flame everyone that might not agree with them.

I agree that the one day DLC is fine and I'm siding with Valve.

But don't mock the other side of the argument, that's piss taking, mate.

EDIT: and take out the nonsense options, they ruin poll results.

It wasnt supposed to be a serious poll. or thread for that matter.

What the hell is a cheeseburger spider? I want one, NAU.
But on a more serious note, Valve knows that such stuff gets them load'a'moneh, so why not put them into Portal 2, too? I really don't mind. As long as they aren't gameplay-changing, it doesn't really matter, imo.
Though, why am i talking about this when i haven't even played Portal 2? Who knows...

At least fix the polls, you're just going to start a flame war.
i added an option for those who have a serious opinon on the matter for against the day one DLC.

It's bad in my mind as it takes over the subject of what portal 2 does really well and what stuff it does really badly.

As for valve how much money they make is the only real concern, critism itself doesn't hurt companies

I don't really care as long as the character models are easily edited a la tf2 so anything I want or like I can just put in the game.

However, if valve purposely made this hard to do so people can't look how they want despite it already being a part of their code (it's in team fortress and gmod). I will skewer them for taking away something I find valuable to sell more the cake was a lie in game t-shirts.

Look at me, I made a completely useless and biased poll with pseudofunny options. Do you like me more now?

Day 1 DLC is undoubtedly annoying in the case of guns and map, etc. but cosmetic stuff that only serves to look pretty and doesn't in any way detract from the game by not buying it, go right ahead.

People who complain about this are generally the self-entitled shitbiscuits who go around buying every Map Pack for FPS', and believe that Modern Warfare 3 will have anything remotely inspiring about it.

Im quite entitled after paying with my hard earned cash i expect i would get the game not the game play part but then i have to pay for the "good looking skins"

So yes i am entitled and i hope people like you receive texture less games and have to pay for textures later on, you dont need texture in games so why should they put them in?
