Dogs and cats are adorable. More importantly, they're not livestock, but hunting companion and mouse-eater respectively. They have JOBS. Killing cats is why the Black Plague went as far as it did, anyway.
I refer you to my previous point that an animal's right to live isn't based on how adorable it is.Quillpaw said:I could make a "sea kittens" joke, but I won't out of good taste.Frozen Donkey Wheel2 said:Nope. If it's OK to eat fish, cows, and chickens, why should it be wrong to eat dogs and cats?
They're all animals, their right to live isn't based solely on how adorable they are.
Thing about fish is, you don't see most people keeping sea bass or halibut in a little tank on the counter.
Unless they live in a seafood restaurant, I guess.
I hope you are always well fed when you're around me.ThatDaveDude1 said:Eating anything, in and of itself, is always ethically neutral. It's a process of muscle spasms which eventually result in acid formation and (hopefully) waste expulsion, nothing more. Whether it be cow meat, pig meat, cat meat, dog meat, or even human meat is irrelevant.
