Are you a teenager? I can understand the feeling. I felt quite insecure and that I had to be around others constantly when I was a teenager, and I still sort of suffer from that now that I'm 21. However, at the end of the day, no one really cares or will judge you, and if they do, you can make that their problem and not yours by not caring.

That's the way I prefer to see movies. Every time I tell that to someone they always tell me that I'm so friggin' weird. It's very annoying.

It's usually a hell of a lot more fun with others, but not bad by yourself. I saw Cowboys and Aliens on Friday with a few of my friends and we just Rifftrax'ed the whole thing, so that made it a lot more fun than seeing it on my own.

There are plenty of social experiences out there that don't cost $15+.

So if you're only going in order to sit with friends and spend 1-3 hours not talking to each other, well...

Yes.

Not in a bad way, mind. It's just unusual. Some people will look down on you for it, but then again some people will look down on you for so much as taking a piss without four people flanking you and holding your hand so you feel loved.

So, to answer your question: go to the movie and enjoy it.

I go see movies by myself a lot. Well I used to when I had money. Even when there were people I could have gone with, sometimes you just want to go on your own rather than have someone talking to you the whole movie.

It's the same with eating out. Some people don't do it alone but I like doing it when I can afford it. I'd rather cook for two than for just one.
