Poll: Is Left 4 Dead better off with or without story?

I don't care about the story before- I want the story after! Will Francis and Zoey get together on the chopper? Will Louis get over his addiction to peels?
These questions should be answered.

I don't think it really needs a story. Honestly, the game would have felt weighed down, you know? Some games are great with stories (see my avatar), but not all games need them.

I've noticed that if Bill is AI, he almost waits for you to pounce him. Was Bill's bot created with PTSD or something?

I don't mind that there's no backstory to each characters and there's no full explanation about the virus either. The safe room writings are good enough and pretty cool to read. One thing I would've liked was some sort of link between the campaigns like you were progressing between each one, rather than the game saying 'but wait! what if.... you were in a forest instead!!!!'

Valve was actually going to link the campaigns together but, for some annoyng reason, decided against it.

But seriously, I could care less about the story. Its all about killing hordes of zombies with your pals (or random people, either way).

i find it better to fill in my own story. just use your imagination.

and to answer the question about lewis. he would go to the target range during lunch. its in the orignal trailer for l4d. as for zoey i guess watching all those horror movies kinda taught her how to use one.
