I only scanned the first page but already all of you don't get the point

The op is asking if [strong]buying the game for 60 bucks is a rip-off not if the game is a rip off of fallout3[/strong]

I.E. theirs not enough new content to warrant 60 bucks

use your brains people...

Doesn't he mean a rip off as in not worth buying for the price?
yes
There's not much difference. If he thinks it's a rip-off because of the price, he probably thinks it's overpriced because he sees it as an expansion or just too much like Fallout 3. So everyone's argument against the OP still stands.

....you know I could say that about EVERY SEQUEL EVER MADE! Frankly, I think the game has more personality than Fallout 3, as for the bugs, when you're using a bethesda engines bugs are inevitable (do you really think testers stepped on every pixels of the maps to make sure that you don't fall trough the floor, of course not), the game differentiates itself enough that it comes across as a unique experience. As for the price point, remember the CoD maps (15$ for 2 new maps and 3 ports from an old game) now that, is a rip-off.

The game is completely different, Iron sights changes the game dramatically, you actually fire where you aim, and you can snipe people one shot one kill with sneak attacks across a field. Six shooters are awesome, Shotguns actually work (As long as you don't use VATS)
And I can fire now without relying on vats for everything. The combat feels so much better, Hardcore mode adds the exploration feel.
Just is better, is new, the story is completely different and better, the atmosphere isn't depressing, it is more like a wildwest adventure, humor is now a lot more prominent too.

Oh god your spelling DX

Also you could say that for any sequel:
Hurr durr Bioshock 2 should have been a DLC

If you don't like it sell it or deal with it.

Also it was just released so of course there are bugs and no mods out, mods TAKE TIME!!!

Its useless fans like this moron who fuel game developers ego and give them a reason not to motivate themselves to make better games.
Where did you come up with that logic eh? Do you analyze statistics or are you talking out of your ass like 99% of this site. Also calling me a moron is probably not the best way to respond to me(read the rules before posting).

You can't say that for any sequel, because sequels that actually change the gameplay drastically, or take a completely new direction, cannot be expansion pakcs, or DLC.
That's like saying that the Sims 2 was an expansion of the original Sims.
What planet are you from, all sequels play the same way.

Let me show why:
Halo:CE -> Halo 2 -> Halo 3 -> Halo ODST
Same controls for all four games, this can be said for many others like CoD, BFBC, 3d Mario games, 3d Zelda games....do I need to continue or have I proven myself correct(which I have by the way).

Do some research before you post.

I bought the collectors edition and haven't played it yet, it's released tomorrow. I voted no though.

I agree that there isn't enough new content (I'm just really annoyed the used the same pip-boy as F3 and the lack of a HUD change) to fully justify it being a sequel but it strays away from the core F3 story and it has been improved, had new additions, etc. so I think it's safe to call it a sequel.

Trolls like you make me sick.
Anyways, back to the beginning - sequels are not all classifiable as DLC/expansion packs.
Done.

Actually I'm just simply stating my opinion, not my fault you take it with a grain of salt. Have a nice day :D

While that's reasonable for mods, it's no excuse at all for bugs. Releasing a buggy game is unacceptable, Bethesda has yet to learn that.

Same thing with STALKER, yet we still love the games.

You start by bitching that it's basically the same as Fallout 3. Then you moan (in the same post) that it's not got a load of things that were in Fallout 3. The mind boggles.

I will be honest I am a little underwhelmed with the new Fallout. It is fun (don't get me wrong) but compared to 3 it lacks a little bit. There are things that I really like that were added such as factions and concocting new and fun things (reminds me of my time playing oblivion :) )

But in terms of quests I am a bit "meh" on the subject. the side quests do not (so far....I will admit I have not yet finished the game so who knows my opinion may change later down the road) give me that accomplishing feeling that I had when I beat the side quests in Fallout 3. The Story line is pretty neat though.

Like I said I have not yet finished the game and who knows maybe it will blow me away.......so anywho just my personal thoughts
