As i see, many of you just dont get my point. I am talking here the whole time about the quality of the game, and not if the games do sell. Sure, that when they just port the game to the PC, that at last one person will buy it. But does that mean it will be good, or that they did focus while developing on the computer, OR that they will then focus on computers? No.
No, because people go after numbers, when a title is hot, reviewers do praise it, everyone will buy it. For example: Modern Warfare 2
Everyone including reviewers did say it is nice, so it did sell a shitload of copies. But how did it turn out? That it was good for the console gamers, but absolutely junk on the computer. But still it does sell, because people rather care for what sale numbers and reviewers say rather than having they own opinion.
And that is what i am pointing at: we can have 1000 releases, all of them ports or junk, people will buy it, hate it or love it because masses of people are gonna praise it, the developers will be happy for the money they get from the sales, and the money they save from focusing on consoles. And that is the thing which is killing at last PC gaming for me: i dont want every year to have a shitload of cheap junk under my desk to play, when before years back i had under my desk and on my HDD very nice games, while now i play maybe 1-2 good releases a year.
