I wouldn't call him a narcissist.

Theory no.1: I beleive that he has a different view on fun. He finds personal likings in his games that we don't see.

The only problem is everyone has a different version of the idea of "fun".
I agree.

Theory no. 2: Hell, he's just a hype-master. He has a way with words that makes you beleive in fairy tales and the land of golden cookies with chocolate chips.
Except he's made matter of fact statements about his games, not just presenting them as ideas, that later turned out to be untrue. Anyway maybe he just loses track of the claims he makes, I'm open to that.

Is it just me, or have there been a bunch of Peter Molynuex threads recently?
There have been. From this same person.
One a couple of weeks ago to see what people would do, one to seriously discuss the matter of his honesty when presenting his games to the public, and one for fun to deal with the common claim that Peter Molyneux is a narcissist in a light hearted way (in which I clearly state, explicitly, that I don't think he's a narcissist).
I haven't seen any claim that Molyneux is a narcissist except for you. Plus, you've made three generally negative threads on Molyneux. If you have a generally well known person alone in a room, and no one will ever know what happens to them, sooner or later many people are going to get nasty. I'm not going to comment on the second one's balance issue since you we've already discussed it, and now we have a thread that calls him a narcissist even if you specifically don't. Also, why are con-artist and dreamer up there? If this is a discussion on narcissism, those options make no sense. The only options should be 'Yes', 'No' and 'Maybe'. Those seem to be up there solely to add more negative options to the poll.

You still only gave one legit option to those who disagree. The others, barring Cheesecake, all cast a negative view of PM. It's a biased poll, since there is no balance between the positive and negative.
What about Delusional Dreamer and Maybe? What more would you have for those who disagree? I'm open to suggestions.
Maybe is gray, and who has ever used the word "delusional" to describe someone in a positive way? As for other options, I dunno, something along the lines of "he's earned bragging rights," or something like that. I certainly think he has, but that's besides the point.

*SNIP*

Then you haven't seen anyone claim that he's a Narcissist, because I stated up front that I don't think he is one. Anyway why don't you google Peter Molyneux, narcissist and see what comes up. I've seen the charge on GameFAQs since back when I was playing Dungeon Keeper 2, it actually mostly came up on Dungeon Keeper 2 and Black and White forums, both of which are some of my all time favorite games for the record.

Ok let me explain. He's made demonstrably untrue claims about his games and the excuse people always give is "He just dreams big" and things like that. Delusional Dreamer is fitting for this reason. Anyway I added Gaming Messiah as an option, I have room for one more.

Fine, allow me to correct myself. I haven't heard of anyone suggest that Molyneux could be a narcissist except for you. Is that a little more accurate?

Yes, except I don't think he even remotely could qualify as a Narcissist, to my knowledge he doesn't even meet half the criteria.

All I can say is that if you haven't seen people suggest it, you haven't frequented the right forums. I've seen people suggest it several times, recently when I was looking for a list of claims he made about Fable, back when I was visiting kayssplace for my Black and White needs, back when I was sharing creature skins/pics/map mods on Lionhead's Black and White mod forum, and on GameFAQ back when I was playing Dungeon Keeper 2.

Another one? You really seem to have it out for Mr. Molyneux.
Peter Molyneux has it out for himself.
Oh yes that's quite the comeback there. He has it out for himself? Seriously?
Less comeback, more observation.

He promises you an ocean, but can never seem to deliver on it. In fact, it's been commented before that the games themselves aren't that bad if you get past what Peter Molyneux advertises and realize that he tends to have quite a bit more ambition then his company can support.

In fact, it seems that half the challenge that his company has is to keep Mr Molyneux's mouth shut during development.

Edit: Eye speek inglish

Not another one of these threads! He over-estimates his development team's ability. In fact, I remember Yahtzee saying that Peter came across as an insanely nice person in one of his articles.

I think Molyneux has a god complex, but atleast he is out there having a go so I tip my hat to him.
I think a lot of gamers also have a god complex, at least when gaming. In the very least, that god complex may have produced two of my all time favorite games, Dungeon Keeper 2 and Black and White 1. Whatever you say about PM's honesty (or lack there of) when presenting his products, he's churned out some really good god games, starting way back with Populos.
