Poll: Is racism an issue where you live?

Racism is something I hear about a lot, so I was wondering if it was a problem around the world as much as it seems to be a hot button issue here in the US. Is it an issue in the country/state/city/town you live in?

Yes but its not about the skin colour, in my town its basically the British citizens railing against Polish immigrants. Personally I have no issue whatsoever if they choose to come here and work then thats great. But many people feel that they're taking jobs away from British citizens that are out of work. If I'm brutally honest yes they are BUT (and this is important) none of the brits want to do these jobs or are to damn lazy to get off JSA and find work.
This is speaking as a recently ex unemployed person.

Yes. I live in Arizona. Besides the heat, it's pretty easy being white in here. But i'm not white. I'm Native American/mexican. There are SOOOOO many 60 year old racist bastards here, and then they voted for that bill that said unless you have your birth certificate on you at all times, then you get deported. Not to mention the asshats who don't even care. "I'm white, how does this bill affect me any? Sure I'll vote for it." I'm not saying all people are like that here, and most people are pretty cool with the minority's, but there are more racist old folk than normal people.

yes, but not in the way you would think. people are jumped and/or shot for being white in some of the worse neighborhoods here in NYC
of course, everything is a problem here, so I dont worry about it much

No not really we lynched all our black people a long time ago... wait i just said that on a forum...

Racist jokes aside, No we dont, some of the non black people get offended when someone says N----r, and we usually just laugh it off after saying something "offensive" Besides where i live we have all kinds of races, Black, Asian, Mexican, White, Indain, Native American. So we have a little melting pot of our own.

Very much so. The school I go to is very... "Back-Woodsy." It's exhausting yelling at people for it all the time.
