That being said, we do have quite a few groups up trying to get them (The BNP) out of Barnsley so I guess its not all that bad, though Anti-fascists can sometimes be just as annoying as fascists.

I'll agree with you on that one. I'd rather walk past the UAF than the BNP, I don't have a problem with anti-fascism until they take it a little too far. Remember question time last year when Nick Griffin was on?. They had to drag people from the building who were trying to storm the place... Which to me is going a little too far, they should have let him have his say, make a fool of himself (which he did) and left him to piss off. Instead they storm the building and make them selves look like fascists.

Then when we have them in the town we have them coming up in the street asking for donations to their cause. I just want to get my shopping done, instead I've got a group of angry people waving picket signs about asking me for a donation every time I walk past. Even if I agree with their cause, I still find that annoying. At least when we have the BNP here, they often just stay at their little table across from Game and HMV and shout bollocks. I don't even have to acknowledge them.

I'd personally prefer it if neither were there. Might as well not be there for all the good their doing. Still only an handful of us in this town that aren't ignorant racist swine, doesn't look like they are able to do much other than get there signs out and try shouting louder.

Rhode Island actually has a bill coming up in the state election tomorrow to have "Providence Plantations" dropped from the state name, because people think it's offensive. I don't agree with that. I mean, yes, the DeWolfe family had a big role in the slave trade, there's no getting around that, but Providence Plantations actually had nothing to do with slavery. It was it's own seperate piece of land, called a plantation. Rhode Island absorbed it. Not slave trade related.

Not to a great degree. It should be noted Birmingham is a very multicultural city by English standards. The majority of my college is of Asian heritage. I haven't noticed anything much beyond a BNP sticker in someone's window on the way to the bus stop, but I suppose it depends who you ask.

Yeah, it is. Not in the case of black vs white like in so many areas, it's more a case of a lot of people not being able to accept muslims.

Only when mentioning Arizona. I live in Sonora. Oh, and that one time i was denied a tourist us visa, they charge you 100usd to kick you in the butt, i mentioned racism a lot a while after that.

In Western Australia you hear people mention it but it really isn't as bigger deal as those people would like to make you think. Most of the time when you hear a person call another person racist is when the "racist" is of another race and did something that they didn't like eg. kick them out of their shop for breaking shit, stealing shit or being rude to customers. Most of the time the people calling racist are either Middle Eastern or Aboriginal. I don't know why I never seen an Asian do it. This happens everywhere.

People who play the race card are worse than people who discriminate against others due to their ancestral background. I have also noticed that a lot of people don't even know what racism is.

Middle Easterners, Aboriginals and Asians are the most common minorities over here.

Here in Baltimore we are knee deep in racism. Mainly from two parties throwing them at each other. More from one than the using false accusations. The rest of us can just sit here and watch as our city is destroyed by the idiots in the inner city causing all these problems.

Since I live in a country with no racial diversity whatsoever I'd have to say no. Nationalism is a whole different story though.... Not to say that there aren't any racists here, there's just no point being racist in country full of white people. (Oh yeah and by "here" I mean Croatia)

I dont think it's a serious issue, but theres a lot of 'casual' racism in Shropshire or my part of it at least.

That is to say, people might use racial slurs or racist names and take the piss out of racial stereotypes, but they dont actually hate people who aint white and local.

No, not particularly. But i live in a borough of less then 400 with probably about 10 black people. So for my generation, its not, but for my grand parents and great grand parents it is, cause they kinda frown on them, and say semi racist things.

But i'm not, and currently am in an inter racial relationship, though I havent told my grand parents yet, mainly cause I dont want stuff to start.

And before anyone thinks my neighborhood is one of those rich white neighborhoods, its not. our Gross Domestic Earnings was something like under 45000K, maybe less. Most of the non white kids just live in the other two school districts "beside" my school school district.
