I listen to talk radio at night, because the combination of silence of darkness creates a vacuum in which my imagination can play all kinds of cruel tricks on me. Basically, I can't sleep without the radio on, kind of like a night light, or rather a night sound.

I listen to radio almost constantly. I had my own show for a while and gained a huge respect for the people who do it for a living. It's also the only way I can tolerate the news. I just can't take talking heads on television or pissy writers seriously.

I listen to the radio more then I watch TV nowadays and I always have the radio on when I'm driving switrching between Radio 2, Radio 4 (worth my licence fee on its own) and Classic FM. Radio 2 and Classic FM because I often like the music and with Radio 4 you will either get news, some sort of radio play or a random factual program which is almost always well researched and worth listening too.

Also this. While they still follow some current news habits I hate (I couldn't give a shit what some random guy found on the street thinks), its a damn sight better then the TV.

I listen to Radio 4 for about two hours a day, spaced out over the day as a whole, and regularly download specific programmes such as In Our Time and Thinking Allowed.

I still listen to radio at times in my car but there aren't a lot stations that play metal music so there really isn't anything to listen to unless its sports.
