I have a dream, of white zombies and black zombies, being killed not because of the color of their skin but because they are zombies!

I have a dream that people would realize that the zombies are black because it is africa and that is simple genetics.

This forum has a white background with black letters on it, there's more white than black so it's racist.

Hmm Yahtzee was right this game has sparked hooting from the politically correct.
Damn those anti-colonialists and their politically correct ways!

I heard the bosses in the game are a selection of coffee farmers who have been arrogant enough to assume they can outwit the free market.

Hopefully Chris Redfield will be sponsored by Starbucks. Mmmmmm frappuccino...

Those bosses aren't just coffee farmers: they're Social Entrepreneurs!

Plus, I heard that one of the unlockables in this game is another of Wesker's Reports, only this time it comes in the form of a Harvard Business School case study that examines Umbrella as a social venture.

It's as racist as 4.
It's a well known fact that 4 is, in fact, a member of the KKK. Just look at it; it appears to wear a pointy hat!

I really hope that wasn't taken too far.

If I follow this logic CoD4 is racist against the Russians, every WW2 game is racist against the Germans, and Final Fantasy is racist against goblins. Just because you kill someone of a certain race in a game does NOT make it racist.
My thoughts exactly.

Then you have games like Shellshock (or was it Men Of Valor?) where you played an African-American soldier gunning down the Vietnamese, who were mainly wearing those pointy hats (more racism - lol).

Heh, I remember we had a huge discussion about the same subject.

It's even funnier that for some reason people say that Uncharted is racist for whatever reason because it has funny accented people that are "pirates".

Though, I'm a little this and that on this. It may not be intended to be racist, but it's racist, though it's not intended to be racist, and who the fuck cares, but it is racist, but nobody cares, and you're to sensitive if you think it's racist, but it's racist even if it's not intended to be racist, but it's racist, but you're being a retard, ect...

I really have no idea what I said in the above, but basically;

Eh.

I have to laugh everytime I hear someone call the game racist. Where was the complaining when the Racoon City games made you kill mostly white zombies in the US, a country with a mostly white population? And Africa with a mostly black population is except?

Why is this an issue in the first place? I've seen the game footage and not once does anyone use a racial slur, so how is the game racist? Nobody raised hell about killing the undead in the first games of the series or the infected spainards in RE4, but just because the majority of the infected in part 5 happen to be black it's a racial issue? The game is set in Africa for Christ sake, What do they expect the villagers to be? Pink? Green? Purple? People are just too easily offended these days is the long and short of it, remember the hell they raised about Jar Jar Binks? Personally I find the whole series racist against monsters and zombies:)

I'm asking myself who actually voted Yes and so is RE4. So if a deadly virus attacked a white colony and turn everyone in to zombies. Is it ok? Do you feel bad shooting someone in the head?(In a video game)(If you don't feel bad in real life, I sure hope they will catch you, Mr Lecter-wanna-be).

Some people watched the trailer and found the imagery of a white man going to an African village slaughtering hordes of barbaric black peasants far too close to the highly racist depictions of Africans in 19th century and early 20th century media.

It seems like you are separating them by saying a game where you kill African zombies is racist. If they kill white people why can't the white people say its wrong for them to kill white zombies. Who cares, like really. I couldn't give a crap wether a game is racist or not as long as its fun.
True, really. *True Dialogue*

´Sup, white boy.

Hey, ******

Racist ****.

I dont think racism is valid only on minoritys. If a white person can´t enter a bar for being white, thats racism all the same.
As Michael Richards said, if there was a Miss White America, it would be racism. But Miss Black America isn´t. Thats wrong. Racism aplys on white people too.

Seriously, I agree with you. The racist argument is only from people who see racism in everything. However, if the main character said racial slurs as he killed the zombies, my opinion would change... he doesn't from what I know of.
*Black zombie attacks Chris*
*Chris shoots him in the head, leading into a bloody, red explosion*

Chris: Now, you know what the watermellons feel.

I doubt the game has anything like that, thus proving your point.

you drop someone in africa, what do you expect to see. would you get mad at them for dropping you in china and have you killing chinese people? nope.

if there is a game that could be tagged as racist, it is Crysis. You aren't fighting in Korea, but you're killing koreans left and right. Maybe Uncharted, but not nearly as much. It is funny how in Uncharted, the enemy with the strongest gun is white, or at least looks white (the grenade launcher) while the darker tone enemies have crappy pistols and such to deal with.

No. No, no, no, no, no. A million times no.

The people are trying to kill you. I think killing those people might be justified in a case like that, wherever you are and whatever skin colour they are. It's not like they just set it in Africa for a contrived excuse to make the enemies black. It's an original setting for a zombie game!

I'd love to see some people's arguments for why it is racist. Should be good for a laugh.
