Poll: Is the Gamecube the sturdiest console?

hell no not the game cube isn't the stupidest console, it has stupid qualities(like the tiny disks) but i like the game cube, I'd say some of the dumbest consoles out there would be the old saga consoles, there's so many i cant name them.

I remember watching an old episode of X-Play and it was secong only to the original X-Box. They put a PS2, X-box, and Gamecube through three physically abusive tests and the only one that still started up and could be played was the X-box. The PS2 died on the first test though... and the Cube made it through 2 before it was inoperable.

Same here. I used to keep mine in an eye level compartment in my tv stand and it has fall from there many times. Once it fell while playing Sonic Gems. I still owned Metal Sonic in Sonic Fighters or whatever it was called.

I call Xbox!

The first Xbox must have had the 360's durability as well, there's video floating around where they take the loud end of a shotgun to a Xbox and it still fires up, running perfectly.

My 10+ year old N64 is pretty damn reliable, Ninty stuf fin general just seems to be solidly built. but i doubt the Xbox 1 is ever going to be passed in terms of sheer weight and head bludgeoning strength.

Somebody had a video about this... I think it was X-Play. But anyways, they hit it with a sledgehammer and the GC worked perfectly.

I've noticed that anything made by Nintendo is very dependable and reliable. I remember un-wrapping my Gameboy Advance on Christmas, only to drop it down a flight of wooden stairs 10 minutes later, and it still worked perfectly fine, not a scratch on it.

That video was posted twice on the first page of this thread. You got the Gamecube and the XBox switched. XBox died and the GC outlasted all tests.

Gotcha, my work PC doesn't allow me to stream video so I couldn't watch them.

All my nintendo consuls still work, and you can probably club someone to death with each of them, and they'd still work (though the wii would be awkward to hold... and gameboys are basicly just like holding a rock)

Hmm, first I must ask would it be the alternative game-cube start-up or the default. I really rather prefer the default, mostly because I hate laughing
