Simple question: is the law incorruptible? The answer might not be so simple. Give me your thoughts. Personally I say that the law will always remain pure and incorruptible since it's an idea created for the very purpose of protection, safety, order and equality. It's humanity that is corrupt and uses it to his means.

No, most laws are subject to interpretation (at least too some degree) so the option to corrupt their purpose is always there.

Humanity is corrupt, humanity created law, ergo law is corrupt. Also your a little vague on what you mean, are you talking about laws themselves, the police force that upholds the law, or simply some metaphorical essence of lawfulness?

Uh... Kinda confused by the question, buuuuut I'll give it a shot...

People are corruptible, people of the law are corruptible; Lawyers, cops, judges, senators.. etc. But A rule? No, A rule is an idea and henceforth cannot be corrupted for it lacks free will... But if a corrupt man/women made a corrupt law..... than?

aw fuck it, I tried

Yeah, pretty much this. People are never free of corruption, so the systems they invent suffer under that fact.

No, as long as its enforced by men it will always have a chance to be corrupted.
I agree. As long as man maintains the law, there will be ways to twist and corrupt the law in your favor. I am not impressed with the direction law, and law enforcement is going, and I worry. It seems we are going back to the thirties, when money ran the law, and as I stated, I can see it headed in that direction yet again.

I think that you need to define your context of "law" and "corruption". Do you mean "can law be bad?" or "can law be changed maliciously?" or "can law be changed without knowledge or consent of the lawmakers/holders?" It's all very complicated, and somewhat depends on the type of government.

Can a law in and of itself be evil? It can be, depending on your definition of evil. All the laws of North Korea are official laws. All laws of capital or corporal punishment were/are official laws. Laws against religion, life, or freedom are/were valid laws of their respective lands.

Can law be changed? Yes, all the time. Can law be changed unofficially? No. However, people can choose not to uphold, enforce, or interpret the law as it is written. This also happens all the time.

Law Incorruptible? Yes... but only if everyone dies before any laws can be acted upon. Other than that, you're screwed.

No. Not in the least. Anyone who believes so has never heard of a fellow by the name of Jim Crow.

I don't get what your question is, or what you're saying. As some other people have already said, could you be more specific?

I AM THE LAW!....thus when people become the law, it remains subject to change and corruption.

The law only works when it is written in stone and is very very specific, otherwise you have triple murderers complaining about insanity when they are sane enough to plead that they are insane!
