Don't know really, I wear suits at college when everyone else wears casual just because I like looking formal and I want people to think that I'm pure (don't know how wearing suits helps, it just does..)

He sounds brave from his description, no one would do that here without a card declaring you mentally insane..

I once had a similar person in a few classes.

I think it depends entirely on how good the costumes are and their attitude about it.

Being a massive attention whore. It's neither particularly amusing or clever, and I doubt htere are any reasons for him doing other than just attention.
Neither is your username I'm afraid. But when I see a "The Right to Arm Bears" bumper sticker adorning the bicycle rack on the back of some hipster's Volvo, I don't say to myself, "man, what an attention whore!"

;)
So I should use my real name? Just like you then?

It's possible that he's just being an attention whore, but he might just like wearing costumes. It's kind of hard to tell which from the description given. I know that I feel much better about myself when I'm in costume, but I'm not brave enough to wear them outside of Halloween/conventions.

If I just saw him on the street, I'd figure he had his reasons.

I'd probably be perplexed and stare quite a bit if anyone showed up to my law courses dressed like that and playing it straight, but I wouldn't think ill of them.

It'd be sort of refreshing and amusing.

Well... the cynic in me says that Attention is the more likely one, but who knows... It's just that I know a lot of people who are unique and eccentric, and they don't really like having that pointed out... But I guess you have to talk to him to know for sure. And even then he might be lying... >>

I wouldn't know unless I asked him.

Either way, it doesn't concern me in the slightest what clothes another person wears.

I love it. The guy certainly has balls. I'd walk around in some costumes if my friends wouldn't instantly disown me. I certainly don't blame them for that action if I did either. haha

I personally think if he gets one smile/laugh out of someone throughout his day, he succeeded in what he is most likely attempting to do.

I share your sentiment. By doing this he gives people little "wtf was that" moments to break them out of their boring day-to-day routines, and maybe even give them a funny story to tell their friends and family. Plus, it's a conversation starter with strangers: "Yo, did you see that guy?"

Usually people who don't like such "stunts" are bland individuals who get irritable when the careful order in their lives is disrupted by miscreants...

Sounds like an attention whore.

This is not being unique, this is being unnecessarily weird just for attention. Also, why does somebody have to wear abnormal clothing or have a weird hair color in order to be considered unique?

I must admit a well-done costume and something odd is always amusing to me, but yeah the guy's a total attention whore, no hiding that.

He's a unique, eccentric attention whore.

Absolutely no one who isn't desperate for attention arrives at law school dressed as Mr. Fantastic. And neither, for that matter, does anyone else.

If they aren't going for a particular style, or absolutely insane, I would say that they are attention whoring. I know a guy who decided to just dress like the 1700's at his school. But he thought it would be fun, and he made it more of a style for himself than just something to get attention for.

I'd class that person the same way you'd class someone like Lady Gaga except he's not a celebrity.

I consider it an attention grab. I'd have no idea who Gaga was if not for the image she portrays and the media attention it garners. I still don't care one bit about her, nor could I name a single song she's done, but the media has made me fully aware of her time and time again.

I voted for flower, I very nearly put attention whore. I have to ask though, does it seem like he's trying to be a super hero? Underwear on the outside, Costumes from other super heros, seems that way to me.

If this guy is doing this because he finds it fun, he deserves a pat on the back for being a light hearted funny guy, world needs more.
