Sound off kids, I'm curious about opinions. Gender, age, status and if you would give me some whys.
There's nothing inherently vulgar about it-- It's society that has attached negative connotations to any representation of the genitalia-- I don't know any girls who rock the Georgia O'Keefe aesthetic, but more power to them if they're willing to put up with society's reaction (like this thread).

But I'm going to point out again, it's not the content, it's the context. How long would prominent erect cocks on men's apparel be tolerated? The answer is they wouldn't even be considered as anything other than perverse, most vehemently by feminists. Why is this ok? Out in public, amazingly enough, there are more people than you.

Everything on that page is pretty funny, but one is downright hilarious:

Vulva Portrait Pendant- Exotic Orchid- RESERVED for Members of the Order of the Clitorati
-picture of pendant-
This necklace is reserved for Members of the Order of the Clitorati. For induction into the order see...
Order of the Clitorati? Surely that has to be some sort of joke...

To me that conjures up an image of the Mythic Dawn from Oblivion crossed with that scene from Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back where Jay is proclaiming to be the C.L.I.T. Commander.

Shit, I expect the Clitorati will be after me now for ridiculing them, I better keep my eyes peeled for people wearing an Orchid-Vulva pendant.
Well if you ever get the feeling that you are in a scene from the Da Vinci code start running right then.

"Yes, those are vaginas, good work"

Because I'm all for a world where people can display a replica of a part of the human body without people screaming "Think of the Children!"
While I agree with this, I can't help but ask "what's the point?"

The stuff on that website doesn't strike me as perverse in the slightest-- they're all tasteful representations, not anatomically-accurate flesh sculptures (I think there are other websites for those). It's flowers and shells and stuff.

I don't think the penis lends itself as easily to fashion accessories-- they lack "floweriness", I guess, and their dimensionality would make any attempts to incorporate them into an outfit seem blatant and ostentatious. But that doesn't mean they can't be tastefully and sensibly rendered.

Bah, its crap like this that gives actual feminism a bad name. Like those idiots who want manhole names changed to person holes. Just bloody ridiculous.

Im not sure I could in all conscience walk around with someone wearing something like that. Its the sort of thing you expect lonely guys to buy, or maybe the sort of thing a lass might tongue in cheek buy at an Anne summers party knowing your never going to wear it but itll be good for a laugh with your mates and maybe make their BF uncomfortable.

I agree with you on this, when I saw the website I laughed a bit, but overall saw nothing innately wrong with the jewelry itself.

I guess a certain type of feminist would like these.
None for me thought thanks.
I figure that there's a market for everything if you can think of it :p

Can't say I'd buy my lady anything like that, although I do think that the sentiment that female genitalia can be beautiful in its own way is fair enough.

I'm gonna refrain from the obvious commentary, although I must say I'm taken aback by how subtle and artistic some of the products are.

That said... nobody would wear a dong around their neck going to the shop....
So I can't see anyone buying these unless they're, you know..... like.... "Alternative"

Or just plain mad, really.

Can't say I think many genuine feminists are gonna be thrilled about it, although I can sort of see what they were trying to achieve (and I don't mean flashing bits at people!)

Male, 19

It doesn't strike me as feminist really. It reminds me more of those aprons you get with a naked lady on the front or something that would feature on Eurotrash. In my eyes, its more tacky than feminist.
If anything, I think it cheapens the sexuality. It says "we are women, and we are proud of our gender... so we made a vagina shaped bar of soap"

Ew ew ew wtf and EW and WTF again!!

Seriously?! WTF!!! *incoherent muttering*

I like vaginas just fine. I even happen to own one (being a girl, it logically follows) but wearing one for a belt buckle or necklace, or sticking one on display on my mantelpiece just seems absolutely, completely, totally POINTLESS. Not to mention in bad taste.

They're normally nicely hidden away, which is where I prefer them to stay. Same goes for penis' IMO.

On the other hand, if they'd like to make some attractive breast ornaments, I'll think about it. (Although probably not for long. I prefer the real version on a real person as opposed to some sapphic crap some idiot sitting at home has carefully "sculpted"... What are they using for a pattern, and should I be concerned over hygiene issues?!)
