I can't remember the last good parody movie. I love Mel Brooks' movies, and even Loaded Weapon was funny as hell, but I hated all the Scary Movie movies, Date Movie, Disaster Movie (although credit must be given for most accurate title), and I don't know what other ones there was but boy do these things suck. I like they are making fun of something this lame, but when it looks just as bad and somehow less funny, I really couldn't care. I know they aren't looking for me to be their target audience, as I am sure I am too old for this crap, so maybe I just don't get it. You want to see something funny? Check out the rifftrax too Twilight.

Off topic: I will never forgive the author for ruining a cool word like Twilight. I hope she dies in a house fire.

You know, I actually find the trailer funny. But there's the thing, I can't watch more than this. It just gets stupid, really, really stupid after a while, which makes it unwatchable for me. A fake trailer like this is actually good, it mocks the key moments, without wearing out its welcome, but I'd never see the movie...

Oh for fucks sake. Yes Scary movie 1 was funny. Every film since then has just been worse and worse. For fucks sake, how does this shit still make any money?
As someone who wasn't a minor when scary movie came out, I can safely say it wasn't funny, and all the subsequent movies were of equal comedic value.

But thats the thing, they're not targeting adults with these movies. They're targeting the pg-13 demographic. Each one is terrible by any standard, but they're targeting people with no standards.

From the guys who couldn't sit through another vampire movie, eh? Well I couldn't even sit through that trailer. Boosh.

Remember Disaster Movie? Remember how it has a 1.6 on IMDB? Yeah, I'm never seeing one of these ever again.

Someone needs to make a "Parody Movie" that parodies parody movies - that would be awesome.

...Why am I getting the feeling this will actually be worse then The Twilight saga?
I just saw this trailer last night and my first thought was "Holy shit, they actually made a movie that is going to be worse then Twilight." So I'm right with you on that one. Satan must be freezing his nuts off right now.

I thought Scary Movie was good and Scary Movie 2 was decent but then they went PG-13 with number 3 and from that point it was ruined. I saw Date Movie in the theater with my girlfriend and it was probably one of the worst movies I had ever seen.

I have never watched one of those "Movie" movies since, and I think I am much better off for it.

Now I hate Twilight as much as the next guy but really, did this movie have to be made? We all know it only exists because people like ripping on Twilight but really the movies themselves are already practically parody in and of itself given how severely they get mocked. I could handle a parody of it if it was actually well made with clever jokes and genuine satire but once again this movie just looks like a piling up of pop culture referances and elaborate slapstick jokes. That is not funny if you ask me, but at least we didn't see any fart jokes.

Still even though this one is probably going to be as bad as all the other movies hatched in its vein, I get the feeling it will probably sell well anyway because it's a whole movie made to rip on Twilight, that said I doubt many people will find themselves laughing at the jokes and in the end it will do very well commercially but not critically which seems to be the winning formula for why we see so many of these movies.

It's being made by the same guy who made Meet the Spartans and Disaster Movie, so it'll most likely suck.

AMEN! I actually wrote a poem entitled Twilight (nothing to do with vampires or emoness)years before this whole thing came about. Got me a lot of action from the ladies too, until the books came out. Now, I can't even pull the thing out. :\

On topic: Let's put a stake in this whole vampire/fake-vampire thing, even in parody. I think it's done already.

I'm never gonna see this. Meet the Spartans is about the funniest (recent) spoof movie I've seen, and it sucked...

*sigh* What happened to good spoofs, like Airplane and Naked Gun?

Someone should tell the people who keep making these countless amounts of "parodies" that you have to be smarter than the films you are parodying to make it work.

Scary Movie 1 was pretty good, Scary Movie 2 was decent, 3 had its moments, and 4 wasn't anything to write home about. Everything else to the same tune has just been awful IMO. Meet The Spartans, Disaster Movie, Date Movie, just blegh!
I miss Naked Gun.

Well, the trailer seemed funny enough at parts. I cracked up when the Jacob fangirl slammed the Edward fangirl with a shovel, though. That wasn't a parody, that was real life. XD

Doesn't take much immature humour for me to laugh, though, so I'm likely wrong about how this will turn out.

They still make mney due to the power of 12-15 year old that find these funny. Trust me I have a little brother in that age group.

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

If you see that name, an opportunity is wasted.

I'll bet this movie is total shit.
