Please don't.

OT: I stopped supporting them when I saw the new EULA for SC2. A license to play "their game". It's like I'm not owning my own copy of SC2.
Did you read other game agreement? All game is like that... Heck even Window Vista, XP, 7, MAC...
You own the "copy" of game but no the game content. It have been like that. Why? owning game content means you can distribute it.
No I mean its a license. Software I understand. Blizzy's EULA also talks about other things I disliked when I read it. But I can't remember them now anyways so yeah lol.

Eh.. all I want is Starcraft and Diablo, and I don't ever feel the need to cheat so I guess I am out of your fledgling boycott. Best of luck trying to get Blizzard's attention though, as being banned for single player hacks is a little intense. Blizzard is run by The Kotick now however, so keep that in mind when you read stories like this.

Wait, why is it that you can get a crack for a PC game but you make no mention of that for the Wii?

You can crack the Wii so let's keep it consistent, no cracks on either one.
It is way harder to crack a Wii.
PC games? RXzXr 1911, SXdrXw and such.... (replace some letter with X, so it don't seems Im promoting pirates.)
Download and install that is all.
DRM is never infailable, it is how hard to crack it matters.

Not to mention, cracking a console voids it warranty.

They are hacking to get achievements, they won't get banned if they use build-in cheat codes. It is hacking for achievement that got them banned.

I added to my post, sorry.

It isn't hard to crack a Wii, not at all.
I'm not sure the exact process, but I've known very few people willing to crack open the hardware on their consoles to void their warranty on it. And though now I see you've said there is a way to download it, it's not commonly done, or at least i've personally seen very little of it.

There is a reason Super Street Fight 4 is not coming to PC, the developer blame on DRM, why?
First it is still hard than DL install. Then the problem that most console own only knows insert CD and push power button, compare to PC gamer that definely know how installing works (cuz all PC game need to be installed...). Trust me maybe on this forum everyone knows how to install thing but not every console owners does. And they are already blamed for fail DRM on NDS....

Nope. Out of many things Blizzard has done, I must agree with this one.

Stop cheating and learn to play the game as is. If you wanna have fun, use the blizzard cheats from SC1. They're legit, give you any fun you want, and don't require trainers.

If you wanna edit maps or do anything like that, the editor is there.

Come on, stop blaming Blizzard because you don't wanna work.

Irrelevant, it can be done easily, probably easier than cracking the DRM on a PC game. Doesn't matter though because in our discussion we are not using cracks. We are using the real CD.

As I said, in a LAN game you can hand the disc off to the next person. In a Wii game, you all play on the same screen. They handle multiplayer differently but they are both local multiplayer and I think they both fall under fair use.
It is definely hard than cracking PC game. Irrelevant as you say then.
You basicly answer you question "because it is on the same screen".
Give out LAN means the network coding for Starcraft 2. Im sure Private server will come but not as soon as give out the networking codes.

The measure may be draconian, however, I feel I should remind the OP that when you buy a game you in fact do not purchase the game itself, you don't really own it. What you own is a license to use that game (read the legal stuff at the back of game manuals) which comes with certain limitations. So, if "no cheating or changing the gamewhatsoever" is a limitation on your license and you do just that then tough shit, you should have read the EULA before modifying the source code.

This is about trying to preserve people single player freedoms.
Why does everyone act like everything is a fucking right these days? And enough with this "supporting Blizzard" bullshit. You occasionally make a purchase from them. They get your money, yes, but you get a product. It's a business transaction, not some act of fucking charity.

I started a poll covering this: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.238253-Poll-If-you-had-to-buy-a-copy-of-a-game-for-each-member-of-your-household-to-play#8542490
*shrug* fair enough, no LAN is an acceptable reason not to buy a game, I just think boycotting the company for a two week achievement ban for cheating is silly.

You do realize that using a third party program like a trainer breaks the EULA because making the trainer program requires you to reverse engineer the game, which in itself breaks the EULA right.

Don't break the rules and you won't get banned\suspended, is this such a hard concept to understand?
